  1. I agree and that was my point. Chris Vandevelde was a very good college player and a prolific scorer for UND despite the fact that he only had 16 goals and 20 assists (36 points) his second year in the USHL in 56 games. That is much less than a point per game. Grant Slukynsky is another example of a late bloomer that blossomed at WMU. Pilgrim was a prolific scorer in high school, and there is no reason to believe he can't be at UND. At the very least, give him and the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt on this one. UND did not recruit Jason Shaugabay, and how did that one turn out?
  2. I didn't mean to pick on you because I like your posts and you provide a lot of good information regarding recruits. Generally, I don't like negative posts directed at recruits or even current players in a public forum. I would hate to see any recruit decommit based upon what they or their family reads on a message board and I fear that could happen.
  3. I really dislike posts like this for a couple of reasons. First, these kids and their families read these message boards. Second, and more importantly, you have no idea because his scoring may be based upon team philosophy, the players around him, whether he plays top 6 and specialty teams, etc. Chris Vandevelde played 2 years in the USHL. His first season he scored 5 points in 7 games. His second year, he scored 36 points in 56 games. After a slow freshman year adapting to college, Chris put up 32 points his sophomore year, 35 points his junior year, and 41 points his senior year. He was also an assistant captain and one of the best young men I have ever met to play at UND. How do you know Pilgrim will not be Chris Vandevelde? How about trusting the coaching staff rather than cherry picking stats?
  4. Because he is calm, doesn’t give up rebounds and can play the puck
  5. Comparing a terd sandwich with a bag of terds. Not much difference
  6. Disagree. He has been very solid
  7. Still want to bench Laurila? That was a great play
  8. I like Homer but he reminds me of Clark Saunders. Makes a lot of nice saves but lots of rebounds
  9. "Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable!" @Goon
  10. I went there! It is Cox Park
  11. He is wicked, wicked bad. 😀
  12. There is no amount of alcohol or drugs that would make me appreciate Geno. He is a complete homer/cheerleader and very strange. I honestly don't know how he has a job. He is one of the worst color commentators I have ever witnessed in any sport.
  13. You beat me to it. Teams have to have the ability to win 2-1 games, and often, the team with the hot goalie wins as shown by Matt Davis and Hampton Slukynsky.
  14. Why is Verhoeff not on the PP?
  15. I know. Ironic. He has played awful tonight but gets the goal
  16. Strinden is an absolute liability tonight
  17. Too many passengers. A lot of guys are playing well but a few are awful
  18. What do you mean finally? He is one of the best coaches in the NFL. Much like Mike Vrabel, he won't be unemployed long.
  19. You mean to pour into the lake or even a toilet. Even when it is 100 degrees, and the PBR is ice cold, PBR is never good.

  21. I'm a Lions fan so I feel your pain
  22. 2 lower bowl tickets for tonight v. Omaha, Section 105 Row K, behind where UND shoots twice. $60 for the pair. Text at (701) 371-0195
