  1. Seriously? I thought he and Livanavage have been the best defenseman all year. Defense is not really the problem--it is the forwards and goaltending.
  2. Lions still could/should have won the Commanders game, but play calling and turnovers killed them. They had to score almost every time that they had the ball because of the defensive injuries. The key point in the game was when they had a 3rd and 1 inside the 15 and were up 7-3. Instead of running the ball with Gibbs (who was unstoppable), they got cute and went empty backfield. Goff gets strip sacked and instead of being up 14-3, Washington took it the other way and went up 10-7. Goff also threw the pick 6 and the INT in the end zone just before half. Goff is a good QB, but he picked a bad time to have his worst game of the year. Ben Johnson did him no favors by taking the ball out of his hands and letting Jameson Williams throw an INT. Two very bad calls that may have changed the entire game. I like Ben Johnson, but he didn't have has A game and neither did Goff. On the other hand, it was just a matter of time because the defensive injuries just keep mounting. They would have to play mistake free football to beat Philly or the big 3 from the AFC.

  7. The Jets didn't have Jefferson, let alone Addison or the Vikings offensive line. I'm not even a Vikings fan, but I believe they have the best receivers in the NFL, even better than the Bengals.
  8. You guys give KOC far too much credit. Anyone would look good throwing to Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Throw in TJ Hockenson and Aaron Jones, and even an average QB like Kirk Cousins looks great.
  9. A simple internet search shows Kris Mayotte's salary at $240K and Brad Berry's at $464K.
  10. "It's a situation where" when playing "hard and heavy teams", "at the end of the day" the team "needs to play 60 minutes"
  11. I have 2 lower bowl tickets for sale in Section 105, Row K, for sale for Friday against Robert Morris. $25 each/$50 total for the pair. Text me at (701) 371-0195.
  12. 2 lower bowl tickets in Section 105, Row K right behind the net where UND shoots twice. $70 for the pair. Text me at (701) 371-0195.
  13. BU beat Holy Cross, Union and UConn all at home. They tied Harvard in an exhibition. Not exactly a murderer's row.
  14. Good list. I forgot about Belfour, Murray, Ludwig and Smail. Those are players from my younger adult years.
  15. If we went by an eyeball test, I would have the following: (1) Tony Hrkac; (2) Zach Parise; (3) Toews; (4) Oshie; (5) Jake Sanderson; (6) James Patrick; (7)Greg Johnson; (8) Mark Taylor; (9) Curtis Murphy; (10) Bob Joyce; (11) Marc Chorney; (12) Brandon Bochenski; (13) Russ Parent; (14) Jeff Panzer; (15) Dixon Ward. I like Ward, but I can't see him any higher than 10-15. You are right about Chay. He was very dynamic, but not the best defensively
  16. I disagree. He is the 4th leading all time scorer behind Greg Johnson, Mark Taylor and Jeff Panzer, but he played 4 years. Without even considering defensemen (such as James Patrick, Russ Parent, Jake Sanderson, Curtis Murphy, Chay Genoway and Marc Chorney), how do you put him ahead of Hrkac, Parise, Toews, Oshie, Bob Joyce or even Bochenski?
  17. It is a tribute to Johnny Gaudreau. He was number 13.
  18. Dum Azzo is such a biased tool. Azzo, mini-Bohl (aka Kolpack) and McFooly are really hard to take, especially for us who live in Fargo.
  19. I have 2 lower bowl tickets for sale for Saturday's game against Providence in Section 105, Row K (great seats--where UND shoots twice). $60 for the pair. Text me at (701) 371-0195.
  20. Look at the 2013-2014 roster, which is just one example. Hak took the team to the Frozen Four and lost a heartbreaker to Minnesota with .06 seconds remaining where the top 3 scorers were sophomore forward Rocco Grimaldi, Michael Parks and Mark MacMillan. Grimaldi was probably the only legitimate 1st line forward on that team. Other notable players were Stephane Pattyn and Connor Gaardner (a walk on). That was not a very talented team, but Hak got them playing well at the end.
  21. I don't think that there were many that wanted Hak fired, but I certainly was not among them. I was very happy that UND always made it to the Frozen 4 under Hak That is what a program wants, a chance to win it all. His team also improved later in the season. I'm very frustrated by getting swept by Canisius (the first losses to a team from that weak conference), missing the NCAA tournament a few times, constantly losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament, losing destination games to seemingly inferior programs (Penn State and Arizona State) and the fact that Berry has made it to only 1 Frozen Four. I have not called for Berry's head, but I do think he should be on a short leash. You are right that he recruits good to great players, but that will end if results don't follow. We are already losing recruiting battles to Denver because of its recent success, and we have been losing recruiting battles to Michigan, Minnesota, BC and BU for years. The losses to the bigger schools because of NIL money may be inevitable, but losing recruits to Denver, CC and others NCHC schools is a tougher pill to swallow. If Berry can't win any games in the NCAA tourney or get the team to a Frozen 4, there are a lot of former players who have had success coaching in the USHL and elsewhere.
  22. Hakstol also made it to the Frozen 4 in 7 of 11 seasons and never missed the NCAA tournament. I'm trying not to bash Berry, but Hakstol did way more with less.
