I don't think they showed the overhead on the regular broadcast. But the overhead view I saw and they even showed it in slow motion.....the puck didn't even get close to the goal line.

I was watching the CBS Fta feed. After the whistle they went to commercial and showed the overhead view. The puck did not go in the net according to the overhead view. I think on the video posted on here it appears in the net because the puck was in the air.

Awesome looks like this is really going to happen! Id expect seattle to pull the trigger and agree to build and arena soon or the NHL may choose another spot in tukwila or Bellevue. Any of them would be fine with me. Best of all this isn't dependant on an nba team:)

You are probably right. Probably. I wonder if hakstol could attempt to schedule an exhibition though. If the game couldn't happen the actual reasoning would be interesting. I'm sure Paul Bittner would love to play a game or two for the winterhawks here next year of he's still with them! That logo on the ice in the ralph would be great. Plus the only way to truly see what league is superior is to play the games!

Haha! Maybe the rule doesn't exist I don't know why I thought it did. Now that I think of it the U.S. world junior team has played games against ncaa teams in the past and that team will always have a few guys from Canadian juniors. A game vs the wild would be fun but I'd love to see the Sioux play a few games against some whl teams. Or the NCAA champion play the memorial cup champion. Or an all star game where the guys actually play! Or all of the above!

I'm wondering why the ncaa would allow the gophers baseball team to play the Twins but the ncaa won't allow a college hockey team play a chl team. Another case of ncaa's hypocrisy?

I know this topic has been discussed at length on here but after I learned the gophers baseball team just played an exhibition game against the Twins, why can't Und schedule an exhibition game vs a whl team? I've heard it mentioned that ncaa teams can not compete against professional athletes and since Canadian junior players are paid they are considered professional(I think this is bs because isn't the average ncaa hockey player technically paid more with scholarships than the average chl athlete?) So how can gophers baseball compete against the Twins? And I know ncaa hockey is in competition with Canadian junior teams for many of the same recruits so they don't exactly have a working relationship. But wouldn't it be in both sides best interest to put some of their best teams forward to represent their leagues and hash this out with a few exhibition games? I think there'd definitely be some fan interest here.

It's really sad the mindset jonea has passed down to the players. Why does anyone on the team have the mentality that getting a shot in the final seconds for a win or tie against omaha is even acceptable? How can any individual on the team claim they are given all the tools needed from their coaching staff, yet they continue to lose to mediocre teams? Are these guys brainwashed by jones or are they just mediocre players themselves?

I'd like to know how long the 4 schools get to try to disperse these tickets. The schools will know they are in the west regional on Sunday the 22nd. Und knows they will be there-does und already have their 500?

Since Jody has come out and say the sign was politically motivated Id assume that since Austin is a republican campus president it could be possible this was seen as a protest of kelley's liberal views. But all the sign said was "fire Kelley". So why exactly was Austin kicked out? And why is Jody denying the fact he was kicked out?

If und has been playing withh heart to this point Id expect they play with even more heart from this point on for mark.

And Austin claims he was kicked out. Also I've also heard from a reliable source that one of the students was kicked out. Why the conflicting story? This happened close to the end of the third. By the time the students were escorted to the office where the supposed meeting took place and the students were told they were free to go, Id be willing to bet the game was about over anyway. I'm also curious why it was assumed a sign that simply states "fire kelly" is considered political in nature. The only rule I see this breaking is by obstructing other fans' view of the game. If you look at the uncropped photo that was taken there is a student holding a fighting Sioux banner over his head in the lower bowl. Was his sign taken or was he pulled into an office?

Has Kelley stood up during any sporting event and scolded a fan for yelling lets go Sioux?

So with a Miami loss last night and a Sioux win, Und has at least a share of the penrose won correct? One win next weekend and it's all theirs! Crazy how home ice for round one wasn't locked up until Friday night and the penrose was secured the following night!

I didn't get the best look at it, but to me it looked like he simply skated into the husky from behind and bumped him since he didn't see him? Obviously the ref didn't have the best look at it either.

The easy non exception for me to remember is the umn/holy cross early game at the ralph when the mighty gophers were a 1 seed:)
