  1. Agree the CBS broadcast makes the midco broadcast look very cheap. When did hammer learn the term "gives chase" I think it started last season and why does he use the term 20 plus times per game ?
  2. The shirts they are handing out to the first 500 students actually look pretty neat. Wish I could get my hands on one of em!
  3. Well for starters midco isn't using satellite trucks for uplinks at the ralph....they are now using fiber. I don't know if they have the capability to send their feed from anywhere outside of town via fiber. To downlink away games they've simply been using a dish for downlink and sharing the away team's feed. This method is much less expensive than sending a crew and a truck and possibly renting a satellite truck. Midco growing into anything other than a small regional is a pipe dream.
  4. The crowd at the ralph is a bit tame. Unfortunately that is just how it has gotten. I really don't get it why some say it's the most intimidating college hockey arena to play in.
  5. I got tickets in section 114 next to the student section it appears. I'd guess this is the end uno shoots on twice?
  6. Und isn't at number 4 right now and omaha isn't at number 2 right now. Now that I think of it I think this might be last week's numbers.
  7. What point do these simulated brackets make when the pwr rankings aren't even up to date or correct?
  8. So if the hockey team gets stipends would this classify them as paid professionals and no longer amateur? I'm wondering if this could open the door to potential exhibition games vs chl teams.
  9. Those rankings are out dated. And no way the goofs make it up to a 3 seed.
  10. Und will have to enact the stipend in any sport a majority of the competition does, simply to stay competitive. Does anyone know what percentage of fcs schools will offer the stipend to their football players? I'm sure ndsu will I guess:/
  11. They serve fries at the moon?
  12. B Withou brrtnders grhokey wld b gowing thru withdrwlz. Whts wring wth brrtinderz?
  13. Same here! Green jersey it is!
  14. Looks like uno is promoting a blackout this weekend. Let's ruin their blackout and green it up!
  15. Re: story number 2. Everyone hates what they can't have. Hata's gonna hate!
  16. He's not the only way one. Maybe the only one on here lately. My entire family gets a chuckle still out of the midco broadcast. And after seeing how professional the CBS production is it really puts things into perspective.
  17. Very strange nd would cap that amount. I'm pretty sure my car insurance covers that amount and I normally am driving by myself. Why would the state limit the insurance coverage to that amount when there could be 20-30 kids on a school bus?
  18. Mn didn't stand a chance against your team! We all know only 2 of your team's athletes are under the age of 21!
  19. Really liking how the pwr is shaking out! Not one big ten team in the top 15. 5 nchc teams in the top ten!
  20. And you can find a decent one on eBay for around $100. 3 college games up there tonight in hd:)
  21. Anyone know who the European guy in street clothes is posing as steph pattyn? Shireen just interviewed him.
  22. http://www.bigpictureagriculture.com/2013/03/weve-lost-9-7-million-acres-of-crp-land-in-five-years-334.html Check out the graph/map in the link and it answers your question. And regarding the current low price per bushel: to me this appears to be the result of supply and demand. Too many have tried to cash in on a the ethanol subsidy, less gas is being used, and I hope more consumers are avoiding ethanol at all costs if they possibly can.
  23. Ive got nothing against farmers or landowners but if I'm reading this correctly the government reduced funding for a program so many farmers took land that was involved in that last program(Crp) and now have it enrolled in a new program(ethanol) that is funded at a higher rate by the government. 50% of corn is used for ethanol. Can't blame the farmers or landowners, they are just doing what is making them more money. But the governments policies are ruining the land, and the ethanol that is created in the process is ruining engines daily:/
