Better defensively and a better leader? The way he leads his team and the way the gophs play d it looks to me like he is moving in the wrong direction. Points he is putting up this year don't mean a thing. Hockey is a team sport and haven't there been rumblings that he has been an issue?

Well said Irish. Also, I'm curious what jones does if anything to be involved in the community. I haven't heard of any programs the basketball team gets involved in for gf's youth. Maybe I'm wrong here and they are very involved and I just haven't noticed. But if they want to boost the team's hype without winning I think this would be the first place to start.

I don't see how Notre dame's TV contract would conflict with nchc's current agreement with CBS. When the conference was formed cbs wouldn't allow any other national games. Fcs was considered national and they are now allowing games on fcs. Unless CBS has specifically said the nchc teams can't be aired by NBC?

Und should be shooting for that #1 spot for a first round game against Bob morris or the aha tourney champion.

I know I went and watched the sioux practice thurs afternoon. And during our walk over western mich players were just walking down one of the skyways after their practice. Maybe they were delayed?

Can Fargo pd legally give this guy a dui? Or could be even legally be charged? It's not like he was driving on public roads. Do you need a drivers license to operate a zamboni? If not could they really take his license because of this? Not condoning his actions or nothing the guy sounds like an idiot.

I'd agree this was an awesome road trip. I thought I had booked at the attached Hilton but ended up at the Hilton garden inn 2 blocks to the south and was happy or worked out that way. The hotel staff was very pleasant, won a bet with one of the shuttle drivers to get free breakfast Sunday morning, and I thought the omaha fans were great. I was jawing back and forth with a uno fan and during intermissions we had good friendly conversations. Other than the long drive from omaha to sioux city, the trip was very fun!

I understand that this was probably uno's most attended series of the season but it was super loud at the c link. We sat right next to the student section and the students had organized chants that went almost non stop throughout the game. The c link did not mess them up with music the way the ralph does. Very fun atmosphere to say the least.

Really too bad to hear about the salt water spill in the little muddy river. This river enters lake sak/Missouri. Basically a deadly salt brine was spilled into the river and to no surprise you hear very little about theses things on the eastern side of the state. It makes me sick that the state sweeps this stuff under the rug and continually lowers fine amounts to the oil companies.

Game was awesome. Not sure how easy it will be to get home tomorrow though:/

Sioux played a good game but not good enough and unfortunately it got to the point it did in ot for the refs to decide the game. If und could have converted another on one of their many power play opportunities ot would have never happened. Uno seemed to press hard on the pk but und's gotta convert these.

Yeah if minnesota makes it and is placed in Fargo yikes is right. I'm sure tickets would be available at a very premium price unfortunately.

Who were the weak sheep? And could you provide examples of a situation that will allow the school to use the fighting sioux/logo again?

A couple examples that come to mind for me...... I remember when students at the Ralph would have personal notes on every opposing player for when he was in the penalty box. That opposing player would get lit up by the students. Not at the ralph but when the sioux travelled to Ithaca to play Cornell. Malone lost his helmet and the entire crowd let him have it. Anywhere from fire crotch to ugly was yelled at him from every direction. Then the student section started a "cover it up" chant. I know these examples might be a little dirty but this is hockey! This atmosphere has disappeared from the Ralph.
