It's not difficult to understand. It's just a sad deal compared to what Sioux fans across the state and country used to have. Und made the deal. For some $$$ they tmade the trade for less viewership.

I'm pretty sure if the games were to make fcs, midco would need to make the games available to fcs and fcs wouldn't pay them. Midco scambles their feed because they don't want a couple hundred people nationwide pulling in the games with their fta satellites without being paid. I doubt midco wants to share their broadcasts with millions with no reimbursement.

I thought they came out before last season and said games could now be on fcs as they had overcame that clause with CBS. And games weren't made available on fcs last season because midco wasn't ready to share the games with fcs. One thing I've learned since und accepted money from midco for the TV contract - it's now all about the mighty dollar.

Is it possible ASN will be showing more games than CBSSN this year?

Wdaz 8.3 (their weather channel) is currently showing the acc network wofford vs Clemson in hd. I'm still hopeful they will find a way to make this the future undsn;) or at least show some games here. The games scheduled for asn still won't be viewable in eastern nd and I think channel 8.3 would be a great home for a handful of nchc games:)

Down at ndsu they have team makers to help fund scholarships. Und has champions club. Team makers brings in a considerable amount of money through their gambling sites. Anyone know why champions club doesn't do this as well? Get a gambling site going and the whole FCOA could be paid for.

Yeah if it's something they really believe in why can't they cover their own travel, board, and food? It it appears they are being bought out to be there.

This is a shot in the dark but..... wdaz weather channel 8.3 has been showing more and more content. Most recently I've notice they are picking up raycom sports football saturdays as well as wildlife pursuit. I wonder if they will be making a push to pick up some games....maybe the asn games? channel 8.3 is picked up in northeast nd with a set of rabbit ears!

I know there's at least one left in grand forks. They are all over the state of Washington and must do pretty well. But I think it's too cold here for bikini coffee drive thru's. I swear I've heard it said that this used to be the busiest intersection in the state. Maybe it isn't anymore? But at 745am/5pm Monday thru Friday a left turn out of there or getting in there from the southbound lane on Washington wil be pretty difficult. Starbucks on 13th has a pretty difficult location and they seem to do pretty well. I'd take a Starbucks or something similar closer to the north end any day! Or a restaurant that serves more than just a mediocre lunch like dickies did. Italian moon's location is pretty similar and they do better because their food is better. I'd go there for lunch or dinner. I'd avoid dickies for lunch and not even think about them for dinner.

Devils lake can support united but grand forks can't that's ridiculous. I usually fly out of Fargo after driving there from grand forks because of the flight options compared to gfk. I don't care what airport I am supporting. Time is money and hector saves me time even with the 2 hour round trip drive. It's too bad grand forks and Fargo just didn't build a combined airport in Hillsboro. Regarding United though. From my experience they are the worst airline to fly with. Maybe in my expereriences ohare is to blame but I also avoid United at all costs after some of my recent experiences with that 2nd rate airline.

Does anyone have a contact for midco to discuss the possibility of fta coming back? Many Sioux fans had purchased these systems to watch Sioux sports and are now left with the only option of watching online. Joe sensers in Bloomington used to use this system to draw a crowd of Sioux fans for every game and now these games are limited with the new TV deal. There are many of us that do not have access to midco and now our only option is online. I'd be interested in talking with the right person at midco to see if they will consider un-scrambling. They are still using satellite uplinks and are only limiting their viewership by scrambling the feed. Heck I'd even pay a monthly fee just for their channel. Does anyone know the go to person at midco to talk to?

So trail King was offering 15/hour. I still don't believe that's a wage you can raise a family on but I guess before we can truly point fingers here we need to look at the entire compensation package including health benefits. Many employers are spending over $1000 dollars a month per employee now a days. Is trail King? I still think trail King stinks in this one. Retaining one out of 280 employees should have had the big wigs taking a look in the mirror or at their management. Instead of blasting ex employees they should be looking at what they can do different or better. This would be the best step in making sure those future checks don't bounce. Continuing to go public and pointing fingers at a lazy generation won't do the company any good.

So why does the federal government keep giving Lutheran social services more and more money to bring these folks over here?

So our tax dollars are paying to bring most of the new Americans here. I wonder how much of our tax dollars are being spent on programs for them. I'm sure many of them work in the community and pay taxes but Id like to see some stats that show the revenue of their tax dollars vs the expense of the welfare dollars they receive.

I heard the term new Americans used on the news last week after the brawl/house break in/pistol whip/car chase. Never heard this term used before but found it quite hilarious how politically correct everyone must be now adays. Anyways I'm curious. There's a somali that was just charged in grand forks with starting his apartment on fire and all I am hearing about these new Americans is the crime they are bringing to the region. Not trying to make this a racist post. I'm curious why more and more of these new Americans keep showing up to the region. Maybe there are some good hard working ones and the few are giving the rest a bad name? Who is helping bring all these new Americans here and in what cases has anyone noticed them being positive for the region?

It's fast food how can the service be horrible? Either you get fast food service or good service in a fast food joint. Ok or slow service. I was there a few times and didn't mind their burritos but had a tough time convincing friends and family to join me because no one else I know liked their food. I think people don't want to order burritos that way in a fast food joint. I think most folks around here prefer a qdoba, panchero, chipotle, moes type setup for quick burritos.
