Things will start to click for Pinto. He's not Toews, but his vision and ability to possess the puck are Toewsish. He's proven he can both dish and shoot the puck. He will have some big games and be part of some highlight reel goals. It's been three years since opponents had someone they had to truly respect in the O zone, and that changes a lot.

It will be interesting to see how the CC/UMD series goes in Duluth this coming weekend. UMD has been struggling, and CC has shown it can play. Plus, I think CC gave the Dogs some trouble last year, if I recall correctly.

I sound like a broken record on this, but that is so easy to cure, or at least address. Tim has to know, and it's on him to make sure his color guy (and young but hopeful understudy, probably) understands what he needs to do to improve. It's seriously annoying and a problem for Tim.

Don't count on the B1G to be mediocre like it has in the past. It's gonna be a good hockey conference.

I saw very little of last night's game but did see that goal. That was my exact thought. They must have played very well, though. This team has played with arguably the two best teams in the country.

I think Alex and Jake serve us very well. But I HAVE to comment once again how irritating Tim's color guy is. I love Tim Hennessey's pxp announcing--it was my only way to observe games for a lot of years. I even listened at times when video was available because he is so good at what he does. I don't expect him to ever pair up with another guy as good as "the other Tim," but this current guy has me avoiding Tim H., which is not something I thought would ever happen. He's probably not that bad, and his sins are not egregious, but I just can't deal with him very well at this point.
