Speaking of the Final Five, our own forecheck got face time on the big screen on Saturday night. Hooray for forecheck!! You looked good up there!

MN is playing very well and that 4th line is very very tough. They don't score a lot of goals but they were surprisingly good at times with the puck this weekend. They play extremely hard, and are a very aggressive line, even if they lack size. Remind me of Notermann and Spiewak their first years. But not quite as good

This sounds very interesting. I would have liked to have watched the game but family commitments were the priority. What happened on the ice? Someone didn't want to play nice?

UMD's finish in the Final Five gives me some small consolation for losing to them on Thursday night. I would say the most impressive team in the Final Five was UMD. Second was MN, 3rd CC, 4th UND, 5th Mankato. Mankato just stunk. I'm not saying UMD would have beaten UM. What I am saying is that in playing 6 games in 9 days, two of them in OT, they won 4 of those games, and finished in 3rd place in the Final Five tournament. A very impressive finish. They dang near beat CC after having to play the play-in game, and they handled Mankato after playing one extra game. Hats off to Sandy and UMD.

I think it is just great for David that he could be this healthy again. I share The Sicatoka's concern.

At the alumni gathering tonite after the game Tim O'Keefe and Roger Thomas officially announced that David Hale is cleared to play and will be in the lineup should the Sioux make the NCAA's. Great news for David!

That's all right. Maybe Vanek will think he's accomplished enough and move along We'll see who is the best rookie this weekend. Could be anyone of a number of guys. I'm leaving work for tonite's game now. Drop the puck!

Marquee players should not get special treatment in any phase of the game. I hate that.

I don't mean to chastise anyone. I almost ripped into him on USCHO but then I figured there is absolutely no point. Posters like this should be ignored and they will go away. I couldn't avoid laughing at him on USCHO though.

I think the Sioux can beat anybody, and they can lost to anybody. What will happen this weekend is hard to predict. In one sense there is not the pressure of some past tournaments where we felt we had to win the Championship to validate our season performance and failed. I feel pressure to beat UMD. After that, any win is gravy.

This thread already gave yellowdog more attention than his post deserved. He should have been ignored. It is clear he had absolutely nothing of value to say.

I don't know what it is about standing up but when I'm at a game I am more physically into the game, more vocal, when I am standing. Don't exactly know how to explain it.

It's everywhere. Not just UND. Frankly "back in my day" we just said who'e he he s---s. That was good enough and frankly more rhythmic. I'm not a fan of cussing. Now that I've got a kid it's easier for me to grasp. But the biggest thing IMO, isn't what is being said, it's all about can it be yelled/chanted in a group in an intelligible way. As long as you are making noise it doesn't matter a whole lot. That said, a little creativity is fun.

If I have your position correct, he was right across the bar in a corner booth from you. Last booth on the wall next to the kitchen entrance. There were 3 people in that booth, 2 guys and a gal.
