  1. I thought I heard Tim on the radio say that the Tigers only had 3 shots on goal in the 2nd until the final PP. So far my "hope for's" are holding: We've scored 3 goals by other than the top lines and only given up 2. Let's win the 3rd again and get back to early season form.
  2. Even if the goalies struggle this weekend I will see a silver lining if we can get some scoring across ALL or most of the lines this weekend. Balanced scoring throughout the lineup will make us very difficult to beat. Let's get that back. Then let's see the goaltending return to solid form, as stated above. Just solid is necessary. That's all I need to see this weekend. The 4 points will come with.
  3. Good for Robbie. Sounds like a guy you can really root for.

    Massen

I hold out hope. I saw Massen doing a fantastic job cycling the puck on the top couple of lines last year. Looked like he played with confidence and was very strong. I don't know what happened this year but he did it once and I hold out hope he can regain that form.
  5. You guys have never heard that song? Did you miss gradeschool music? Did you miss the memo? Were you sick that day?
  6. beersong is right though. Regardless of what it is, the chant has to be simple and easy to yell. That's why I liked the "Who's He?---Who Care's" idea.
  7. I'm not going to put much stock into predicting this stuff right now. But I would say that if that was our bracket, we'd have to feel good about our draw.
  8. Yep, let's get some big bodies to stand in front of the net so the goalie has some trouble seeing what's going on. I'd like to see Massen camp there. He's got good size and hands.
  9. That, and peruse this site. The rosters and schedules and stats can all be found on the front page. And ALL you need to know about hockey is found right here on the boards.
  10. I was at the CC series last year when both ended in a tie. I thought the place did all right without the students.
  11. I thought I had a good idea but it was predicated on the goalie being introduced last. I like this idea a lot. I would definitely do this.
  12. Question: Is the goaltender usually introduced first or last during introductions? And is this consistently done?
  13. I always love when Kiork posts. Good stuff, Maynard. I have a relative who is a Wisconsonite. Their family is big on the badgers and packers and all that stuff. Wisconsin athletics has a bit of an aura to it that I don't know how to explain. It's like the fans grow up as one big entity and instinctively know what is expected of them at the event.
  14. USCHO
  15. I agreed with Brodeur even before I read his comments. No one prevented Gretzky from handling the puck, why prevent a goalie from trying to handle it as well? if they are good or better than their peers, more power to them, and don't play into their strength. However, if the curved goalie stick helps them maybe you make them play with straight sticks. I say modify the equipment, but let the guys play.
  16. A friend of mine bought one at the pro shop 2 years ago. Since then, whenever we have visited GF I've watched the Pro Shop, UND Bookstore, and Scheels and have never seen an authentic jersey. They've all been knock-offs of various levels of quality.
  17. Well, depending on which message board you are on, if someone suggests changing college rules to how it is done in the NHL you are at a minimum only interested in helping your own school or at worst the anti-christ.
  18. Gotcha. Got one of those right now.
  19. When you say "older style", exactly which one are you considering? I don't need another jersey but if it was the old Blackhawk I might not be able to pass it up.
  20. I think YaneA deserves a lot of credit for all the time put in on behalf of the enjoyment of so many thousands at the rink. It's in the proper spirit.
  21. Let's look at this individual parts. Now, this has been discussed before. It has to do with blocking the view of other spectators in other sections. I'm already on record saying I would rather stand than sit at a game, but not everyone is that way. It's a respect issue for those around you, and it's an accomodation. Plus, it's not part of the vulgarity issue so that's all I'll say. Didn't Roger allow this could be the case but appeal to UND fans to rise above the rest? Roger talked about "pride" and I think that is a key point. ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU! But it can be done without profanity and vulgarity. It can still be edgy.
  22. Let's just put the overflow in the Lil' Ralph in Thief River and they can watch on the big screens.
  23. In one of the pictures of the Badger series posted on this site, there is a very nice pic of Genoway coming down and taking what looks like a slapshot at the goal. Take a look at where the puck is going....
  24. Dishman didn't have the guts this year to pull his head out of his a-- and come post here until this weekend. You're obvious.
  25. Nice!
