  1. Hrkac, if you are out there I've been emailing you but haven't heard back from you. Let me know asap if you are still interested otherwise I'll sell to someone else. I still have 4 SRO tickets available. Hrkac has spoken for them but if we don't connect soon I will let them go to someone else for face (without ticketnazi charges). Let me know..... I also MAY have 1 regular seat available both Friday and Saturday night. Email me if you are interested in that as well. I'll be able to verify shortly if we are going to be short one person in our "party".
  2. I'm getting goosebumps just reading the updates here at work. Thanks guys!
  3. I will be surprised if we do better than a split this weekend. Yes, we could get swept. Better Sioux teams have struggled in St. Clown and we are definitely hamstrung going in. I do think if they put forth 2 efforts like they did on Sunday they have a reasonable chance to sweep. But if our effort isn't top notch it will be tough. SCSU appears to be a fairly opportunistic team with excellent goaltending (if not just a touch inconsistent). Our offense has at times struggled to score against topnotch goaltending over the last couple of years, high powered as it is. Therefore, I think this is going to be a real dogfight (no pun intended) in both games, and I think they could go either way. I'll be there cheering on the boys.
  4. I'm glad it won't be at REA. I think it would be good to keep the kind of events there a bit more high brow.
  5. I for one would like to again thank the administrator for his/her effort in maintaining this site for the enjoyment of fans like me. It has greatly enhanced my fan experience especially because I live the Twin Cities and am far away from the GF. I have no complaints about the operation of this free site. As for me I think you do a great job of creating content and would hate to see that time diminished. Thanks again.
  6. Through a strange quirk of timing, I may have 4 standing room only tickets available for the SCSU Friday night game 1/2/04. I'll know for sure if we do in a few days but wanted to get the word out in case anyone is interested. Send me an email.
  7. Nice job done by a couple of former Sioux. And rookies to boot. Maybe they'll soon work their way up to the AHL.
  8. Maybe USCHO is going to have to get a "hard-nosed" reporter to go into the "press" box with Pat to give him a little "protection".
  9. I have a friend who has a class with Pat's cousin's girlfriend who said Pat had knee injury.

I'd rather they be considered the Fighting Sioux of the NHL.
  12. They said on the telecast that night that the Wild goalie coach, Mason, said you can tell when Eddie is on by his positioning. If he's playing way back in the net you have a chance. If he's aggressive and challenging the shooters you're going to have a long night. They said it was going to be tough for MN to score that night based on that info and it turned out to be correct.
  13. Personally I don't have a problem with the coach informing the fans of what does and doesn't have an affect on the team. Some here have said fans have a "right" to cheer what and when they want to and I agree with it. I also think the coach has a "right" to tell the fans what they can best do to help the team from his perspective. What a fan chooses to do with the information is up to them.
  14. McMahon is MY MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3-0 Sioux on the PP.
  15. Sounds like the Sioux are mostly in control at the moment. Hope we can put another one up on the board to show for the effort and put a little space between our heinies and the Dogs.
  16. Mine had an overnight last night so went down earlier tonite. Wife is shopping. I'm alone! Now I wish I could get down to Sensers....
  17. here
  18. I don't have a problem with what Blais said. Blais just told everyone listening not to boo or yell "shoot" all the time during the PP as it can affect the guys on the ice. They're trying their best and they are working the play best they can. To do so only makes them anxious and makes them more suspect to making the wrong shot/pass. From what I understood the Sioux were working the puck around the outside and people were getting antsy to see a shot. I've been guilty of yelling "shoot" in the past myself but from what I have learned watching the game is sometimes passing around the perimeter is a good way to find a lane to the goal. Just have to let it develop.

Aha. So your individual accomplishments come before the team. Next you'll be saying you chuck when you want to chuck.

Hope you gave Morley your press credential. Get well soon!
  21. Son of a gun. I called before the SCSU series and was put through to a manager who I was told was the only person who could take "reservations". That's where I got my answer...
  22. I was told you need to have 8 people or so.

I've been in 2 scraps with Goldy, both at Final Five action over the years. The last was at Target Center back in about 1999 or so. Goldy came up in the Suite we were in so we were "going at it". I picked him up and walked over to the edge. Poor guy thought I was going to toss him over so grabbed on to me real tight. Put my glasses slightly out of alignment but other than that no damage. Closest thing I've seen to him going over the glass though.
