If he's a dedicated and loyal teammate, he may want to just focus on the playoffs at this point and put off making a decision until after he's done playing. The fact that he hasn't apparently made a decision yet would suggest there's not an obvious choice for him. So he may have shelved the idea until he no longer has hockey games to focus on.

MN over AA in 2. AA has only scored 3 total goals max per road series in 2007. SCSU over Duluth in 3. SCSU and Goepfert are too much for Duluth in 3 games, but Duluth could steal one game. Duluth has played some pretty good games the second half but have not been consistent enough offensively IMO to take this series, especially with Goepfert in goal. UND over Mankato in 3. Mankato has played pretty well in 2007, sweeping CC, win and a tie against SCSU, splitting at WI and AA and home against Tech. They might well take one game. Hopefully not more... Denver over WI in 3. Both sport 7-7-2 records in 2007. Bucky might have finished slightly stronger but the games are in Denver. Denver's home conference record is 6-6-2 and Bucky's road record is 5-8-1. In early January these 2 teams split. Edge to the home team in altitude. CC over Tech in 3. Tech finished with a 6-5-3 record in conference and beat and tied CC in Michigan. Tech is 2-5-1 in conference on the road in 2007. CC is 5-8-3 in 2007 and 3-3-1 at home and 2-5-2 on the road. CC's record in 2007 is poor but their home record compared to Tech's road record is much more palatable. Add in the altitude and edge to CC. Upset pick: Bucky Dream Sequence Play-In game: Denver over CC. CC doesn't play nice on the road. Friday afternoon game: Sioux over SCSU. Epic battle really could go either way. Pulling for the home team, though. Friday night game: Denver over MN. Denver continues Final Five success by stoning a frustrated MN offense. 3rd place game: SCSU over MN. Need I say more? Championship game: Fighting Sioux victory over Denver. For the 2nd year in a row the Sioux take advantage of a play-in team in their 3rd game. How I really see it? SCSU gets revenge for last year at the Final Five plus last weekend. MN has too much offense for Denver. The Sioux beat a tired Denver in the 3rd place game and SCSU takes its 2nd Final Five Championship banner thanks to Bobby Goepfert.

A poster on GPL who implies he has some inside info says the WCHA has 2 of the top 10 finalists. He doesn't say who they are.

From what I saw watching Finley play 3 games (live) over the last month and what I saw in the first half of the year (2 live and some tv) he seems to have improved his play quite a bit. Congratulations, Big Joe! I was at Friday's game and from what I saw then you deserve this. Way to go, and keep it up.

Great photos, John. Thanks!

Ooohhhhh, that's gotta hurt.

I don't know how I overlooked that...

All these great conspiracies that Gophers are involved in and the best Sagard can do is call the UND coaches show and try to get Hak to comment on recruits. Insert "shaking head" smiley here

Welcome!
-
You don't suppose they referred to "hang around the fort Indians" anywhere in there? No, we couldn't be THAT lucky.
-
You saw the headline in Friday's Strib story referencing a "swoon". He needs to avoid another poor showing in the playoffs to avoid getting a rap.

Siouxdonyms, thanks for the recap. A few additions I caught: Hak: Part of our offense tonite was Bobby Goepfert being out. I liked out intensity even when we were up by a few. Closed out the game well. We worked so hard to get to where we are now we weren't going to mail it in tonite. That doesn't come from the coaching staff, it comes from the leaders in the locker room. Tomorrow is a big day to get some rest. We'll see how Watkins is doing and if he'll be ready for the weekend.

Way to close out the regular season, Sioux! Keep the confidence and momentum going into the playoffs. Great win.

Martens on the PP, picking up a Finley rebound. 7-2
-
For the announcer wondering when Hak would call off the dogs I guess he finally has. Kaip, etc out on the PP.
-
Lasch runs over Lammy. Sioux PP. At least it was someone SMALLER than Lammy this time.
-
I agree, it's too early to give them any hope. Keep the noose tight.

I agree with much of what you say but the final conclusion. McLeod says the message he's receiving is that UND fans think that UND was called for too many ticky tacky penalties. The real issue is that the game wasn't called consistently for both teams. Many Sioux fans complain that opponents are allowed to ride our skilled players, and then complain when the Sioux are called for penalties that they want called against the opponent. Rather than complain to McLeod about the Sioux getting called for ticky tacky calls, complain that MN wasn't called for the same things, and that MN dives weren't recognized by the refs. Send the right message, because McLeod obviously missed it.
-
Right, why should he? The Sioux are playing for 3rd place and a chance to avoid the dreaded Thursday game if they make the FF, and theoretically a lesser opponent for the first round. Play to win. See the sig below.

I don't think it's a big surprise though. If ever there was a meaningless game for a team, this is it.

SCSU can't count. Sioux PP.

CHORNEY DEFLECTED OFF BORER on the PP 5-0!!!!!!

TJ's Goofer postgame interview...did I miss this here?

Jupiter, that's great video and thanks for making it available. I watched it on GPL shortly after it was posted there. Watching the video gives much better context for the quotes that we normally just see in the paper. Thanks again. -
Thanks for the link, PCM. This stuck out for me:

I forgot to add that on the postgame Goepfert said Wesolowski (sp?) will be playing tonite. And I don't think Borer could have been less thrilled to accept the "DQ Cup" in the first intermission.
