You're right. Porter has been great these last few games. Of all the players, you can almost see him willing the team to win on the ice in these playoff games. I found it interesting that he said the hard hat is given to a player who doesn't show up on the scoreboard but did the little things well. I guess 2 goals in the game is a little passe' for him now.

I agree. Great job by the team to play hard and physical but smart at the same time. When was the last time the PP difference was SO much in the Sioux's favor? Sounded like a great Sioux crowd tonite. Was that all Sioux fans? Or were fans of other teams joining with the Sioux crowd tonite?

This guy was in a Sioux jersey and he was walking out and getting into his truck when I stopped to ask him. I should have gone in to check myself, I guess.

This ticks me off. A Sioux fan was leaving Senser's as I drove up and he said it wasn't showing. This was at game time. So I drove back home. Fortunately I could watch it on the internet which was ok. I missed the big crowd at Sensers which would have been much fun.

MI has shown too much quick strike ability to breathe easily until the clock runs out, especially now with a MI PP. At least the Sioux started getting and working the puck in the MI zone for a while. BIG kill here.

I'm not sure he caught him with a hip. On the replay it looked like he could have had his leg stuck out and caught him with a knee. Not comfortable with the time of possession in the Sioux zone. The Sioux need to put some pressure on MI.

Ref has swallowed his whistle. No call on the tackle behind MI's goal, and apparently no call on the CFB in the Sioux zone just now.

Watkins seems to be having a nice game.

One thing about Lammy is he can give up a soft one or two at times but he usually seems to gather himself and finish strong. He did it in the Friday game at SCSU, and he did it during last Saturday's game. He's had some rough points in this game but he really has kept the lead safe for the last half of this period making some monster saves. If the Sioux play smart and don't take a lot of bad penalties, or make any stupid plays on the ice to give MI great chances, I'm confident Lammy will make the necessary saves in the 3rd period. Sioux need one more goal at least, though, the way this game is going. IMO.

This game is an emotional roller coaster. I'm aging as I type.

Sioux need a couple more goals yet tonite. I don't think this one's going to end 7-5. Bina having a bit of a tough game at D tonite, but good offensively. Hopefully the boys can tighten it up and stay out of the box. Can't afford to give MI any advantages. They're down, make them play desperate.

I was waiting for a break so I could post that the Sioux needed to start to win this game 5x5 as they wouldn't probably survive only scoring on the PP, then Kaip gets it done, with great work by Watkins and Porter.

I was watching the end of the period but I don't remember seeing much of a slash by Lammy.

Kozek must be getting under someone's skin. I like that. Take MI out of their game and get them taking stupid penalties. Also, Miller got screwed on that coincidental roughing, but I don't think the ref felt he could put MI down 2 guys again, when the last call was a bit weak to put MI down 2. What a great character period to come back. I like the fact our 2nd PP unit has scored twice. I don't think the first unit will be held down either, if they get a few more chances. Toews had that goal if he could have gotten the puck 6 inches higher. I don't know if this will be like WCHA reffing or not but we can expect some penalties to go against our boys. Have to keep playing smart and staying out of the box.

I missed the first 5 minutes and 4 goals. Amazing. Seems like the Sioux have begun to prevent MI from getting much set up in the offensive zone finally. Keep it up!
