  1. You treat every one of my posts as if Im trolling. I simply said Grimaldi, if drafted top ten likely will be a two year player and your head exploded.
  2. Oshie wasn't a top ten pick. Try to keep up please.
  3. Or maybe he's incapable of replying rationally to my posts regardless of what I say?
  4. Calm down buddy. How many top ten draft picks stay 3 years?
  5. Dont get me wrong though, I would LOVE to have Grimaldi he sounds scary good. But with our mass exodus of top draft picks over the years Im a bit relieved to not have top ten type talent coming in.
  6. Exactly. A player like Rau isn't as highly regarded by NHL execs but he was one of the best if not the best player in the USHL playoffs after his high school season ended. He'll probably stick around I'd say at least three years where as Grimaldi will probably be a two year type guy.
  7. Like I said we are a Big Ten school. We should be playing other Big Ten schools. It's a pretty simple concept. I guess Im more open to the idea because I've had season tickets for Gopher football and basketball my whole life so when I think of Gopher opponents I think of Big Ten schools. Not these rinky dink glorified junior colleges like BSU and Omaha. I believe Minnesota and Michigan have played each other more times than any other schools in the history of college hockey. It's a great idea to get that rivalry back to where it was and it wont take long for it to become one of the most intense rivalries in the nation. In time Michigan will be a rivalry for the Gophers on par with the Sioux rivalry now.
  8. I think people who are against the Big Ten hockey conference are being very short sighted. Having the Big Ten brand associated with college hockey automatically raises the profile of the sport. Minnesota is a Big ten University. Why should we playing Bemidji, Mankato, Nebraska, and Alaska mulitiple times per season but not Michigan and Michigan State? The WCHA is watered down now.
  9. So I guess it bothers you that Minnesota, Denver, Wisconsin, and now even Duluth has more to show for the last ten years than your program? You just said it your self the only thing that matters is the big one.
  10. And he's wrong, at least according to the logic of Sioux fans. ALL we hear from Sioux fans is..."the only thing that matters is 7>5." Well then in this case all that matters is 1>0 right?
  11. Do third round picks often get the rookie max? I dont pay much attention to this kind of stuff.
  12. But doesn't he have more leverage in negotiating his contract with a year of eligibility left as opposed to having none?
  13. I realize your post was tongue in cheek but that rule was put in place because of TV ratings, not attendance figures.
  14. What? Says who? Coming into last weekend he had 14 points in his last 14 games. He came straight from high school and missed a month early in the season due to mono as well. Since he's a 1st rounder I wont be shocked if he leaves but it wont be because he's not developing. Ness turned down an offer last year so thats no shock at all. I dont think Alt is going anywhere.
  15. Success is not defined by getting home ice by anyone in the program or anyone who supports it I can assure you of that.
  16. Didn't the league used to announce the awards on the Wednesday before the Final Five? I don't remember these being announced before the playoffs began.
  17. We're not. Patterson will be in the nets both nights this weekend.
  18. I dont think it would kill our chances. I agree with Goon that obviously not all of the top seeds will win but the Gophers dont need all the top seeds to win. Thats just the easiest way to predict what the PWR will look like based on that scenario. SCSU is a TUC so if the Gophers beat them in the Final Five I would have to believe it would help them although probably not as much as beating UMD would.
  19. I dont listen to the show so excuse my ignorance but who is Mouse?
  20. Dell has had a very good season, I've never said he's crappy. And you're right there isnt any difference between .919 and .921. But doesn't the league only take into acount league games when deciding this? .926 and .912 is a pretty decent gap. SV% is by FAR the best way to rate a goalies performance and in league games Patterson has been better. It's not a knock on Dell, like I said he's been good no question.
  21. Wins is a team stat. Isn't Adam Hauser the all time wins leader in league history? Thats all I need to know about that stat.
  22. Im not telling people what to think. I gave my opinion about the first team goalie. Dell has had a fine season.
  23. I dont need a lovefest for my teams goalie. Just a little objectivity. 7th in SV% does not warrant first team.
  24. Those are all games. Check the conference stats which is what the league goes by. The numbers I gave are accurate.
