This game had to give our boys confidence moving forward, whether that be for next weekend or for next year. We can hang with the best in the league and a traditional power..
Absolutely!!!! And on top of that, all the "new" guys coming in -- Nash, Salmonson, Academically re-set Traylor and maybe our new freshman phenom Hooker could make it a special special year.
I hope Weber takes it and goes at least a couple rounds into the NCAAs. It will make this loss a bit more palatable. As for next year, look out Big Sky, We're coming!
Most of us old timers won't, but the new generations after new generations that won't know Fighting Sioux from Flickertails from the hole in their a$$ will presumably start buying them up in droves, as new traditions evolve and as we turn to dust in our graves. The University is bigger than us; it will live on with or without us. And soon our curmudgeonly opposition to the new status quo will be looked upon by our whippersnapper replacements as a quaint portal into the "ancient" past. Sad, I know -- but it's been happening for millenia.
I saw Aaron walking around pretty good after the game. I think he was sat more for precautionary reasons ...but who knows? Good thing is there's a few days for recovery before the tourney.
Izzo tweeting Belmont and Denver may be in lead to replace Creighton. ORU a long shot. Belmont and Denver are front runners due to their quality basketball and large market sizes.
If we played 'em ten times, they might win nine.
But not this game. Not tonight.
Tonight, we skate with 'em.
Tonight, we stay with 'em, and we shut them down because we can! -- Idalski channelling his inner Herb Brooks.
