  3. Wow... I know that recruiting hopes always spring eternal, but this O'Brien kid looks like the real deal. I hope that tenacity and that Dan Hendrickson and Digger Anderson-esque style of play translates at the college level. He explodes through the line and doesn't give up on plays. I have a hunch this could be a real diamond in the rough in this recruiting class.
  4. Concordia? Very good school academically. Congrats!
  5. I think we are something like 62.5% from the line right now. WSU does not need that kind of help from us tonight, nor do they need the refs' help.
  6. Good defense tonight. Gotta get Huff and Anderson clicking on O.
  7. Brekke played 2 minutes solid defense. Makes a difference for Wilmer to have his help side defense out there
  8. Brekke is in!!!!
  9. Archer out with bum ankle. Brekke dresses. Very very iffy that he'll step on the court after warm ups.
  10. Do we dare press him and try to flip him to play Division I? It's being done to us. Just wondering.
  11. He just had a strange tweet, saying "committed to Minnesota State Mankato." Assumed it was a joke.
  12. I know Dickinson quite intimately...and it's always been a very pro-NDSU town, much to my chagrin. Dickinson-Trinity had been an exception as that school piped in some pretty good UND guys in the 1980s when it was Class A. That may have turned now, too. There is a strong but small pro-UND base in Dickinson among the varsity hockey and park and rec hockey communities, but, that's about it. Getting UND guys out of Dickinson is like drawing blood from a turnip. It's not like Bismark, Minot and Devils Lake.
  13. We are inconsistently very good.
  14. because our bigs can't get set in time.
  15. He's got the finesse and touch of the Incredible Hulk.
  16. Found this little nugget buried in the game notes on UNDsports.com today. It must be true, but wow, just wow. "With one more win, head coach Brian Jones will tie Bill Fitch on the all-time career wins list at UND with 94. Fitch went 94-45 from 1963-67."
  17. How can you call a foul after the shot clock has expired?
  18. Keep it going and stop a run by the bad guys.
  19. Word is out. Full-court trap UND!
  20. Glad my "good" sources were wrong about Wall. She is back on the court. Go get 'em Alyssa!!!
  21. As of 30 mintues ago. SiouxFootballInsider‏@SiouxFootball Attempting to dig up info about a new verbal commitment from a RB in IL. Trying to confirm, more to follow. #grinding
  22. Layne Johs just got offered by SU per his tweet.
  23. Thanks. We've noted that one already a few days ago. We are on "decommit watch," ourselves, for Sam Riddle -- nothing concrete yet.
  24. From the Big Sky Conference site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_M6qIq7R-w&feature=player_embedded#!
  25. Great points. I think we have hit a turning point as far as dishing to open shooters, whether back to the perimeter or backdoor stuff down low. As for the latter, Wilmer still fumbles the ball and that cost us at least 4 points yesterday. With Brekke in there -- if ever-- his athleticism will get us those 4 points back x 2. Rebounding remains a challenge for Wilmer and Archer. Got to get more active, assertive and aggressive like Huff does minus the bigs' God given attributes. I still cringe when Allard drives the lane, as too often he finds himself looking clueless in the paint. Same for when Archer launches from outside. I am sorry that is an ugly shot. Now the positives: 21-21 from the line = unconscious!!!! Jones should write a book or hold a clinic on what he did in the off-season and up to this point to achieve this amazing turn around from years' past. An Achilles Heel has become a true weapon for us. They are exuding with confidence right now, but a big road test awaits. Go UND!
