I was impressed with how many were multi sport athletes ( hockey, basketball, track, boxing). More than a few times I heard last night that our OL and DL recruits were also playing hockey. Big men on skates. That agility has to translate well on to the football field.

Just might get a Wisco guy after all, albeit, a hold over from 2014. Tom Miller speculates in his latest blog that linebacker Hudson Walton has cleared the NCAA issues he had last year and there's a possibility he lands on the UND squad this fall.

I have no clue. Maybe others do. He just never seemed emotionally mature enough for college football away from home. Wore his feelings on his sleeve ( and on his Twitter feed) much like Aeron Carr did. Big talk up front. Mixed results on the follow through. Edit: All that said, maybe it was injuries and he made an informed decision on his future, and if that was the case, I apologize for my read on the situation.

Could be a new kicker out of Zimmerman, Minn. 6'1" 190 pounds.

At some point, he quietly fell off the roster.

Linebacker U (once again)!

Taubs = getting better and gaining confidence Holmen = invisible has got to be a good thing for a LS specialist, right? Bolduc = Does enough to be solid. Hoping he gains a little more power in his leg. Studsrud = Handled himself admirably under fire given late season circumstances... .upside is huge. Dranka = stud Greely = stud Ferguson = Heart wasn't in it, I guess. Walker = showed flashes of what he could do on special teams, but needs to develop toughness and consistency as a WR Harris = gained valuable experience and shows promise heading into Spring and fall camps Carter = Ditto Montague = Ditto

Studsrud, Ferguson (quit), Walker, Dranka, Greely, Carter, D. Harris, Montague, Taubs, Bolduc.

That was sure a brief UND stint. Hope he gets an education and does well for himself.

And it's an hour earlier there in Dickeyville!

Jeremy Webb is on board! Per SFI

I thought Fluegge transferred out over x-mas break to a Colorado school or something.

Cashman also showed Flashes of what he could become this week.

Heard he couldn't keep it between the lines. ( :

Oh, I'm sorry, Chew toy, did you have another tired rejoinder? Pity to leave you hanging, but the rest of us were taking in an overtime thriller of a hockey game involving our favorite team. But I won't bore you with the details of that exciting match, for it has nothing to do with the hobby horse you love to kick. Well, you didn't disappoint (although I was really hoping you'd sprinkle a few more of your hundred dollar words, like "syntax divination" and "eisegesis," down on us rubes -- must be a private school upbringing thing). You really are a not-very-informative broken record, aren't you? Go UND!!!!! Woo hoo!!!! OD in OT, baby!!!!

Your thoughts are magical!

I don't trust anything this Chewy person writes. He/she has never once to my knowledge showed up outside of a non nickname thread, never heard him/her express any knowledge nor insight on current UND teams or athletes. The only thing I think he/she cares about is the former nickname and logo and ways to perpetuate it through any means possible. At least show us some affection for UND sometime outside of a nickname thread, and then maybe we can see if you truly have an allegiance to the school and its teams, that you're not just some one who likes to "hear" themselves talk and act all principled through impassioned rambling diatribes. Such a one trick pony. Carry on. ( :

I wear my Fighting Sioux clothing on campus all the time and don't hear any of these things that you speak of on a daily basis -- or ever for that matter. And even if I did, I would respect someone's opinion to say whatever the hell they want, and I'd just keep wearing the stuff. Just because the NCAA says the school cannot be the Fighting Sioux without sanctions, does not mean I have to stop wearing it. And when a new name is selected someday, I'll probably change it up, and wear the new name and logo gear some days (but then, I will probably have to listen to the boos and hisses from the nickname at all costs crowd telling me that I can't wear the new stuff because I sold my soul or something -- to which I would respectfully ignore, allow them their opinion and keep on doing whatever the hell I want to as an individual.) See, it can go both ways.

Hmmmm? The four aforementioned quotes have been the prevailing thoughts on this message board regarding recruiting kids after verbals. Maybe one or two questioned it initially ... But I think the majority on here agree, nothing is sacred until Feb. 4.

Hawley is just east of Fargo-Moorhead

I have no idea what the level of Sic's reverence toward the nickname was at any time in his life (and I suspect he loved and still loves it), but from what I gather from his posts on this message board, his interest in, respect for, and adoration for UND and its athletes is seldom matched.

I see that Dillon has a red shirt year to use, so assuming she is using that up this year, she would have two more years of eligibility remaining. I am just guessing here, though.

Will we ever see Josie Dillon on the floor again? Seems like forever she's been on the bench in street clothes.
