  1. Don’t pretend to know the situation, but if they lose tonight, and Gaber and Frisch play tomorrow, I will wonder what one day difference makes, and if a league title should be a situation where you play a little hurt and foresake the next man up mantra in that circumstance.
  2. Omaha is feeling very confident with their game right now, and I think they know they have to continue to play well because their only option is to win the Frozen Faceoff. I don't think they want to take a step back in their play, so I think that is what they hope to accomplish this weekend. What is the over/under on Kleven having some hits reviewed this weekend?
  3. More likely a flip to the OHL, although he did sign a tender with Tri City. We’ll see if anything sticks to Mel Pearson in the next few years.
  4. Oh, was it that hole he was talking out of?
  5. So you want the consistency of Sandelin whose teams are 76 games over .500 in 21+ seasons, over Berry, whose teams are 85 games over .500 in 6+ seasons. It would be interesting to see what other fanbases think of some of our bizarre fans.
  6. So again we are back to the definition of consistent. Duluth hasn't won a league championship in about 30 years, but since they had a few runs at the end of the season, you are holding them out to be the model of consistency.
  7. The first round exit was on a play that was deemed offsides, and 10 minutes later they seem to think there was clear evidence to overturn it, and later the rule was changed to prevent that kind of situation. Don't know how you can put outshooting a team like Boston University 59-29 as a failure on Berry's part, but as Ira said, shallow understanding of the game. NCHC coach of the year, 3 of 6 years, soon to be 4 of 7, but yeah, unless it is 7 of 7 it is pretty inconsistent.
  8. So, here is your chance to put up or shut up. Who should UND be comparing themselves to? Is it whoever wins the championship that year? It used to be Boston College, but you don't hear that anymore. The fact that the comparisons are ever changing, yet UND is still firmly a threat year in and year out, certainly should show that UND hockey is a program that most would love to emulate.
  9. Like I said before, the people that have the highest expectations for Berry have a low expectation of themselves, which really is sad.
  10. And you were praising Berry when he won it, saying that Hak couldn't get it done and you were right. Then you are saying you want Hak back. Drinking too much truly does kill brain cells. Maybe you should look into Prevagen.
  11. Yeah the fact that gfhockey is praising Faison now, shows that the incumbent is always the bad guy.
  12. Not too far removed from this Pastrnak outfit, although this is tame for him.
  13. Yet they continue to bless China with the Olympics.
  14. Bentz has been a very consistent scorer for Moorhead.
  15. I would assume that would only be the case if one team won all of the games.
  16. I guess I will defer to the coaches in college hockey that say he is a man amongst boys and that he is NHL ready. Any of his injuries could just as easily have happened at another level, one of which did against many players that have played pro hockey and played in the Olympics.
  17. I believe Strinden is related to Earl Strinden, so not sure he would leave, but I also think that he will be here. Not sure on James, but I know the coaches communicate frequently with players on what they need to improve on, so I would assume they know what James' thoughts are about coming in or not next year. Even if Senden or Hain don't come back, not sure he will be set to come in for sure. I am sure when they recruited his teammate McGlaughlin, they had a plan in place, and if that included James waiting another year, I am sure they told him.
  18. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0042802020.html https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/339282/jack-works Maybe something the coaches realize is that stats don't always translate to the next level, so you better make sure you have the character correct. Not saying that is the case here, because I believe that Lorenz will be a good player, but Singleton could as well. Jack Works hasn't exactly been a stud for Denver, and even if he was putting up points for them, I wouldn't trade Louis Jamernik for him.
  19. Unless UND loses someone to pro hockey or someone entering the portal, I don’t see much room for both Hain and Senden to come back, as they would be pretty full at forward with the following possibilities. Costantini - Blake - Gaber McGlaughlin - Schmaltz - Calder Caulfield - Kunz - Strinden Senden - Jamernik - Hain Albrecht - Ness- Portz Montgomery - Budy
  20. Are you saying gfhockey and Bonin21 on GPL are one in the same? Could be, neither one of them ever has any positive take on “their” supposed favorite team!
  21. Well, next week the focus will be benefitting Omaha, so expect a lot of major reviews on UND. The stark penalty difference between Denver and the rest of the league certainly is substantial.
  22. Before we go overboard the other way and declare UND National Champs, let’s remember we have had a lot of good fortune in our run, a lot of which has been deserved with our intensity. The two goals that Western put in their own goal let us play from the lead and that is huge for this team. We have seen how big that and goaltending is during the one and done tournament, so hopefully we can continue down that path. We have seen how that can turn on a dime though, so we definitely need our difference makers back and have the rest of the team continue to play in desperation mode.
  23. Agree, this time of year defense will probably win out. Since Ferner and Johnson will most likely be the 7th defenseman when everyone is healthy I could see them splitting games and playing as the game situation dictates. Regardless, it is great to get Johnson playoff type minutes this year after he was thrown into the fire because of injuries, rather than easing his way into the lineup early in the year like most freshmen. He could have the same trajectory as Cooper Moore, as both have great offensive upside, just needed some work on the defensive end.
  24. Meaning they never call it in high school?
  25. So you’re saying the penalties weren’t warranted?
