  1. I definitely think we lose a few players as well.
  2. Which is why I don't understand how people can want them to win next week. It is hard to recruit against them now, it will be more difficult if they keep racking up titles. We recruit sometimes against BC and BU, but we are recruiting against Denver most of the time.
  3. The point is they want a more proven commodity if they feel it could be needed to make a run.
  4. That will give half the fans the opportunity to say what a mistake it was to start__________. We already saw that at the Frozen Faceoff.
  5. As Schlossman said a while ago, advisors are gauging interest as early as January, so it could be a quick process, and guessing it wouldn’t be a lock at that point, even if they knew Persson was leaving. Being that TJ was injured, why commit until you know he comes back well from the injury.
  6. Was going to say Semper Fi, “always faithful’”, but being a two time transfer that wouldn’t fit, and Marines might not appreciate that.
  7. This is a bit of a concern, especially when we talk about culture. Don’t want people to come because they are pampered.
  8. I think Schlossman pointed out a long time ago that advisors were testing the waters mid season and that most had already had some idea where they wanted to go, so Sandelin’s point is common knowledge. I think most of us think it is insane. The thing is, it could get worse if indeed NHL teams try pushing their draft picks to certain teams. Don’t know how you fix it at this point, as the cat is out of the bag.
  9. What about Berg, Boisvert, Jamernik, or Swanson and Wilkie? Obviously we won a league championship with McLaughlin at center, but they want to clean up a few issues they had with faceoffs and puck possession late in the year.
  10. Would be nice if he is Connor Ford 2.0!
  11. But on the other hand if they win it all this year, and they have a mass exodus, I guess he gets all the playing time, but maybe not a favorite to repeat. Denver may lose a lot regardless of the outcome next week. Depends on what is most important to players.
  12. Somebody send him the carjacking stats and crime in general in the Cities. Hopefully the Dinkytown collective spent a load of NIL money on Snuggerud, and we can get Rydell or someone adding to our collective.
  13. That’s the deal with Hakstol always getting the team to the Frozen Four, North Dakota was getting a lot more exposure than all the one and dones, and you can always sell a player they could help put us over the top.
  14. Yeah, if they can work on not coming out flat the biggest period of the year.
  15. Would think Duluth will have to grab quite a few from the portal, having lost some to the portal. The thing is you never know who is thinking of entering on UND's roster.
  16. Hopefully they have Arizona State on the road in January. Would imagine those tickets would be tough to come by though.
  17. ...and if the Quinnipiac player could have put the puck into a wide open net, BC would be having their mass exodus right about now. That guy has got to be seeing that wide open net in his nightmares.
  18. Or probably more apropos to Miami, "Noreen, have you been crying".
  19. Yeah, and maybe if they win, we won’t have to deal with Celebrini when they come here next fall.
  20. If Wood is looking for a guy that can help him put up some nice numbers, then if Blake comes back you couldn’t do much better, and maybe make a run at a title as well.
  21. I think they were more than solid. Sometimes you have guys transferring to improve their stats for the next level, and aren’t team guys. Don’t think UND brought in the super high end transfers like Isaac Howard, but they all came in and went to work towards a goal they didn’t quite reach. I will look at all of them with respect though, because they did what was expected of them, and for many that meant getting in front of a slap shot. It’s funny how guys you never expect to make an impact, play a huge role, like Sidorski last year and Britt this year.
  22. I get that he has to be a diplomat and calling them out could have an adverse effect, but I don’t know that I would praise them either.
  23. Will agree, if Berry wins back to back then the talk is suddenly quite different. Usually though, you have to knock at the door a few times before you kick it down. I wouldn’t be against winning back to back and pushing those win totals up 8 on that graphic. It does go to show how lean the times have been in the NCAA tournament lately, that it would take 3 straight titles to catch Denver in NCAA wins since 2017.
  24. It's one thing to voice your opinion, but quite another to act like someone is stupid for using Hakstol as a person from whom to request advice. There is a reason he was a finalist for coach of the year at the highest level of hockey.
  25. Let's see, you are mocking someone at the top level of their profession. How about you telling us for which Fortune 500 company you are CEO! Seriously, tell us where we will see your name in the headlines, other than for some transgression.
