  1. That probably can be said of 90% of the teams in the country. Remember when people thought Minnesota was going to be a wrecking ball, well they are scoring a quarter less goal a game than us, and we are basically top ten. Other than Denver and a few others, most teams are going to put up between 2.5-3.5 goals a game. The key for us is to make sure we are doing the right things so that we can keep holding teams down and giving Persson the ability to make the first save and deal with any rebounds if there are any. Alaska would be fired up to play us regardless of their pairwise standing, but UND will have to match their effort because this may be the last chance for Alaska to move up dramatically by having a good weekend. Will be really disappointed if UND comes out standing around and watching Alaska, so let's get after them from the start and don't let up.
  2. Turns out it was between CC and UND.
  3. How do you know if you qualify?
  4. Keeping a demand. With the last two games there were empty seats and I think it would have been better for some to just hold off on purchasing tickets from those who ordered too many and they could probably have better seats as well. I know I considered just waiting to purchase seats from those who overbought, but with the smaller arena that might be risky. Hopefully we would have already had a destination game earlier in 2026, if they could manage to make the Frozen Four in Las Vegas at TMobile.
  5. I don't think either one is gloating. I think best scenario for both of them would have been that he was actually ready a year ago to go to UND, but unfortunately they didn't see eye to eye on that.
  6. If he couldn't wait the first time around, will he do so now. Time will tell, but hopefully he learned that there is no reason to be in such a big hurry for someone who has to develop anyway.
  7. He is a sophomore, but yeah still would be relatively easy coursework.
  8. Being he is playing top line minutes, he shouldn’t have to worry about academics too. No doubt he is being told he is good enough for the next level, so schooling isn’t a priority. Hope those that have been advising him are happy how they screwed up his development.
  9. Although, I am thinking the one thing UND is missing right now is a skilled defenseman to run a power play unit. Livanavage is growing into the role, and Pyke has been good, but we could use an elite guy to run another one of the power play units down the road. Strathman is probably a guy that fits the bill, and Wiebe has some potential, but certainly could use more guys with an elite upside that still pays attention to the defensive end of the ice.
  10. Apparently there are a lot of "Brockstars" as Brock Nelson has 15 goals this year and Brock Faber for the Wild has been pretty impressive as well.
  11. Wow, who would have thought Payton would run.
  12. and a fake punt that was so predictable as not to be believed that there was nobody on that side of the field. I’m not even sure I put a return person back on that.
  13. How do you not expect a fake punt?
  14. Of course another failed extra point.
  15. Kind of nice to go to different ones to see some different stock items in some stores. I think some just seem a little more out of the way.
  16. There are 10 Costco’s in the Twin Cities area. I have been to 4 or 5 of them, so I looked it up and there were more than I thought.
  17. Yes, we all remember the buzz about Tomek, and he ended up making the rounds.
  18. Also the expectation would probably be that he would be a go to guy, and maybe take away opportunities for growth for guys like Perron, Boisvert, McLaughlin, etc.
  19. Absolute joke. Will he get to sit it against Simon Fraser, or is that an exhibition? They play Providence twice again after that, so he should have to miss both those games at the least.
  20. …and Vancouver started out great with Boudreau too, and sometimes it is only a short term burst. I always have a problem with drastic changes from one game to another because it appears the players weren’t playing with any passion with the old coach, which makes me question their character a bit, especially when there was no time for the new coach to implement any changes.
  21. I would think Ron Francis would wait to give him some weapons to utilize. I think overachieving last year increased expectations, but they don’t have a ton of high end talent, and guys that could be, like Beniers have underachieved compared to last year. Seattle has a ton of talented players that will be in the World Juniors this year, so they have plenty of up and comers if they have patience, which is in short supply in the we want it now world. Teams like New Jersey have been rewarded for having a bit of patience.
  22. No way they get 11000, would bet 1000 would be pushing it.
  23. Because when it is spring and summer here, the last thing people want to do is go indoors to watch a game. Most people are ready to get out golfing or get to the lake.
  24. The sad and frustrating thing for UND fans, is that much like football, the hockey team has a signature comeback win in Denver, then has fallen off sharply. The good news is that the second half of the season is where memories hold more emphasis if you can indeed make the tournament, so everything is still in front of them for the hockey team, they just have to do a better job of taking advantage going forward.
  25. Perron has been quiet lately, but still would like to see if he could get things going 3 on 3.
