As far as how we play, I would take the word of most NHL brass, coaches and former coaches. Like Andy Murray says, "They play the right way". You hear that sentiment time and again when referring to UND. I don't want to make a broad statement and include everyone, but you just don't hear those type of statements about Minnesota. In fact, you don't hear that about many of the players that play there. You don't hear they are hard to play against much either, but once again that doesn't include all of them. Jeff Dubay is a phony and has always been a phony. He had the best job in the world and threw it away for crack. Then when he had a second chance he threw it away again. All the while that he was doing crack he was railing on other people for things that they were doing that he perceived as wrong. Forgive me if I can't listen to someone who wants to spout off about something wrong in a "sport", while their life is mess. It's called priorities Dubay, and you might want to get them straight at some point, or you'll end up right back where you were before.

I would change 5 minute majors to a two minute penalty for Checking from behind or whatever the offense, and a two minute penalty for reckless play, both to be served concurrently. I think that would be more likely to change behavior and cause coaches to drill it into their players to watch out for player safety. Let's face it, how many times have teams had a five minute major work out to the benefit of the offending team by gaining momentum from killing it off. Would like to know the percentages of teams taking advantage of 5 minute majors. I think if you are facing a 5 on 3 disadvantage for two minutes, you probably will be less likely to come away unscathed.

Each team is allotted so many seats, so if they turn them back in, you can probably get them that way. If they don't turn them in, then those are the people you approach.

I would say approach fans of the loser of the first game with compassion and see if they plan on sticking around for the other games. You might get some cheap tickets. Look for the really depressed ones, and you might get them cheaper with a little empathy, considering our plight the last few years.
