  1. That sounds like a perfect job for McFeely or Kolpack.
  2. Maybe it's the NCHC Insider curse, as Poolman hadn't missed a game in college until NCHC Insider did that story on him.
  3. Yeah, in Schlossman's Friday morning reading he talks about fans jumping off the ship, but over the last three years he has picked practically all splits and even this year predicted them to be swept on occasion. Fans obviously seem a lot more optimistic over the last three years than he has been.
  4. Are you an NCAA drug tester?
  5. Are you an apologist?
  6. It's called Journalism 101, especially in a he said, she said situation. "Didn't elaborate" seems either convenient or lazy for a reporter that obviously had plenty of questions for the other side. Quite the expose, almost a modern day Woodward and Bernstein.
  7. Did his job? Matt Larsen said a student athlete gave it to him. How about a follow up question on how he found that out so you can follow up on that?
  8. The article says that Matt Larsen "didn't elaborate". Here's something, as a reporter, ask a question to get him to elaborate. Having talked to a former NDSU football player that said he wouldn't make it at NDSU today because they are maniacal about the diet of the players and go nuts if they eat anything outside of the designated plan, I can see the players following the instructions of staff to the letter. Someone needs to elaborate, whether it be the family, or NDSU.
  9. What is the standard? -40? -50? -60? If you stay outside a couple minutes longer -40 can kill you just like -50. If you're going to determine what is acceptable, then create a standard. Of course, then the schools would say we don't have any days left to give, so we need students to be there.
  10. Berry is one of the most likable guys as well. Serratore has done o.k. with Air Force, but I think a lot of the memories of the people are from how hard of an out they have been in a few tournament games they have been in. They haven't exactly dominated CHA and AHA, but they have had their moments. He was well liked when he was an assistant here, but I don't think there was a noticeable change when he left, although I'm sure he has grown leaps and bounds in his coaching ability since then with the additional experience.
  11. Schlossman has retweeted the reprimand from the NCHC for Rico Blasi's comments on the officiating. Would be nice if they would also reprimand an official who refused to even look at a play that ended a players season. If commisioner Fenton can't see the irony behind this, then he is blind.
  12. If they haven't been doing this all along, then I don't have much faith in the direction of UND athletics.
  13. Would be nice to at least get a win and a tie with the extra point, but yeah this team has been inconsistent so optimism can be elusive. Wish they could have got the tie and extra point in the series here. Got to finish ahead of Denver because we most likely will be playing them in the first round playoff, and that may be our only pairwise hope.
  14. Come on, let's give credit where credit is due. We've had plenty of guys missing throughout the year, including tonight, and we don't like when UND plays that card.
  15. This is what I was talking about when I say swagger. Don't sit back and try protect a lead, go after them and add to it. I would like to think that the confidence from this would springboard them, but they looked to gain some swagger at other times this year only to revert back. Here's to hoping that it carries over to the next series and that Denver has lost some swag!
  16. Yes, getting slower against a speedy team seems like a recipe for chasing again all night, only being further behind them this time.
  17. For someone that gets that much playing time it is expected that it will happen occasionally. You could see how hard he worked the rest of the game to remedy that. I sure hope we can get Poolman to stay his senior season, but not sure he would want to deal with the rebuilding process. Shaw, on the other hand makes so many unforced errors that it is amazing that he hasn't had to sit since his freshmen season when he rotated with Wolanin. Nepotism?
  18. Would have been interesting if Todd Anderson had to announce that last penalty on Mismash to the crowd, like they did in the exhibition game!
  19. He is now one the leading scorers in the USHL, so with our problems scoring we better be after him, although I'm sure they think they have enough scorers coming in next year. Guess what, we have seen numerous guys not transition well, so error on the side of more guys with scoring touch. With the new scoreboard coming, mock up a video for him on the huge video board and get him committed.
  20. I was crying for Berry to call a time out 5 minutes into the third, when St. Cloud was all over UND, to no avail. How do you come out in your home rink in a must game in the third period like that in a tie game. Must not have been very motivational between periods, but to be fair they were scored on late in the second to tie the game and the last few years UND teams have been very fragile, no swagger like most UND teams. Unlike their coach, maybe they should get a little mad. Berry should have done a little dasher dancing himself after no review.
  21. If you see the ego, and I see the ego, and most fans see the ego, why doesn't Don Adam see the ego? Oh, yeah, he has an even bigger ego!
  22. Even if you don't see it, an obvious knee injury should call for a review if Kawaguchi nutting the guy in Duluth was reviewed.
  23. The garbage at the end with an injured player and no review takes the focus of what appears to be Brad Berry's philosophy. Get a one goal lead, lay back and try and defend it, then after that fails, go on the offensive again. When St. Cloud doesn't score on the power play they gain momentum, while we always lose momentum. The fact that Berry was happy with the way they played, and blamed it on a bad bounce is very concerning. It seems that expectations are constantly being lowered for UND hockey, and to top it off Tim Hennessey tells a player " you were outshot, but you guys missed the net on a bunch of great chances". You can't make this stuff up!
  24. It's called sandbagging!
  25. Would be nice if we would start winning again when we are on National TV, which we are on CBS sports on Friday. Let's get the one tonight, and worry about Saturday tomorrow.
