  1. Hopefully the game in Nashville can get a few guys to stay around for their Senior season, like Mismash, Kawaguchi and Kiersted. Probably not enough incentive to pass up a contract waived in front of you, but if you aren't going to make the big club right away, it definitely could be a lifetime memory for these guys, just like for the fans.
  2. It's just like the debate that people have on restaurants, people have good and bad experiences everywhere. I have heard plenty of good and bad things about Altru, and likewise I have heard plenty of good and bad things about Sanford.
  3. Jack Works from Okotoks seems to be putting up decent numbers for a 2001 year, and has got a great last name for a North Dakota player.
  4. That is the kind of call you can get at home in a playoff event. The NCAA doesn’t seem to care as much about that kind of advantage when it means making more money at the FCS level. They don’t want competitive disadvantage at FBS, but money seems to take precedent at FCS.
  5. Plenty of tickets available for sale at the Ralph on a weekly basis.
  6. This seating chart doesn't have 200 level sections like the chart that the Champions Club sent with their email. I assume the 200 level corresponds with S1 through S40.
  7. It's funny how a lot of the networks are so self righteous about certain things, but then soon forget them when they have a chance to profit. Remember the Urban Meyer scandal, and now one of the networks has him as a commentator. Michael Irvin and Ray Lewis weren't exactly choir boys either. It all depends on whose standard they want to go by. I'm sure there are a lot of things that go on in locker rooms by players and coaches alike that wouldn't meet the new standards for ethical behavior. I have a feeling you will see more and more players getting called out if there are axes to grind from the past.
  8. Hard to know, but outside of the Dartmouth game, they are winning the games on their schedule. We have played Denver and Minnesota State and are 1-1-2 against them, so who is to say until they actually play somebody. We have heard the same thing about eastern teams before, and then they beat us at tournament time, like Yale did a couple times.
  9. Did Skokna end up burning a year of eligibility or not?
  10. Our Associate Coach Dane Jackson could give the guys a reminder how things can change from night to night, as he played in the series in Grand Forks when they beat Minnesota 9-0 on Friday, then lost 9-3 the next night. Talk about a 180!
  11. ...and those phrases always start coming out when they can’t say anything about what is happening on the ice. It’s the last ditch effort of losers to try feel better about themselves.
  12. Have seen numerous times in this series where there is a lopsided score one night, and the other team wins the next. Compete level changes a lot of things, and Minnesota might have been in the after Thanksgiving day meal mode. Would expect a lot better effort from them tomorrow, and if we don’t come ready and they get a few power plays early and score, you never know.
  13. Funny, you have to question who is hateful, when a guy who takes pot shots at someone at every opportunity, and has probably never talked to the guy. That truly is hateful.
  14. Classic conversation on GPL complaining about their administration scheduling a game on Thanksgiving so UND fans can overtake the arena. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you only fill a third of your arena on a regular basis, it wouldn’t matter when the game was scheduled. State of hockey whining about more fans of the other team showing up—classic!
  15. Bring back Faison! Bring back Faison! It just goes to show some people are never happy unless they can complain about something.
  16. UND always seems to have problems on their gapping on the big ice surface. Unless you play on it often it can be difficult to close the lanes and not get too aggressive on the penalty kill. It kind of forces you to be a little passive once the zone is gained. Makes for less excitement in my mind. Glad to see one by one teams moving away from the bigger ice surfaces.

    Playoff Time

Especially when so many fans said that we were years away from being competitive in the MVFC, much less against the Bison. After losing to the Bison people would have been asking why waste a year of eligibility on a hopeless cause.
  18. They have been holding teams down on shots all year. Yes, St. Cloud is one year removed from the #1 seed, but need to get acclimated to the loss of Poehling, Jackson, Newell, Blake Lizotte, Jon Lizotte, Schuldt, and even Benson. That is a lot of firepower gone that almost forces St. Cloud to play less wide open.
  19. Rizzo with a hat trick tonight. He certainly seems to be starting to heat up.
  20. ...and St. Cloud isn't exactly a pushover. Yes, they have struggled a bit, but they needed to replace a lot of skilled players, and I am sure it takes a while to find out who can fill what roles. Hopefully they wait until after this weekend to continue their learning curve. If we can stay out of the box and make them play us 5 on 5 I like our chances because we have very good depth that we need to utilize.
  21. You could have included a picture with the new scoreboard, you might get more for your tickets.
  22. Let's just hope they don't play The Pack.
  23. The fact that he blames him for ending his career when he was traded and given an opportunity with another team seems a little convenient to me. It's not like Commodore was a superstar or anything.
  24. There are two sides to every story, and I guess those two know what went on between them, but this doesn't make Commodore look that great himself. By the way getting what he deserved is millions upon millions.

    Hak

All I will say is that Philadelphia isn't exactly ripping it up now, and that is with a goaltender that is pretty decent. Hart hasn't been the issue like goaltending was last year for Philly.
