  1. Because of our depth, I think that a lot of the time Berry errors on the side of giving the players extra time to heal, rather than rush someone back. I guess we are in a better position to do that as well, but I think it will help us down the road when we don't have a bunch of guys broken down by playing through injuries. That is my hope anyway. Of course if we were fighting for home ice and on the bubble of the tournament, I am not so sure I would want key guys sitting out of the lineup unless it was absolutely necessary.
  2. How about if we sweep CC and Denver and let Denver sweep Duluth putting them closer to the bubble. No, I definitely hear what you are saying, getting far enough ahead of all of the teams closest in pursuit. Wouldn't want Denver to be able to come in here in a few weeks and be able to turn the tables on us and end up in the lead, because after we play them they have the more desirable schedule.
  3. It’s pretty impressive that Wilkie is the second leading goal scorer in the country. Hopefully we can contain him this weekend.
  4. Hopefully he gets help before it's too late.
  5. Are Wilkie and Halloran on the same line? If so, put the hard line against them. Shut down that line, and it makes it pretty tough on CC. As he was near his home area last week, Michaud once again will have an extra focus, and expect him to be dialed in. Of course, I'm sure CC would like nothing better than to give him an extra shot when possible.
  6. Notre Dame bid with their home arena, and because nobody else bid they got it. How were they to know that Loveland would start bidding on regionals.
  7. Just tell the kids that you need to push off, that they are planning a destination game in the Bahamas in a couple years, and they won't want to miss it what with the possibility of leaving early that has become so prevalent. You would think they actually are trying to nail down the next destination game to help sell recruits.
  8. Yeah, funny how Roehl rose miraculously off the ice from his belly by not using his arms. He must be able to levitate!
  9. For sure there is a case for him, but depending on who may or may not leave early, offense shouldn’t be a problem from the back end, so it may come down to who they think will help with the loss of Poolman in a shutdown type of role. Don’t know who that would be though, as they all are ranked pretty high for the draft.
  10. It’s the truth, so don’t get upset.
  11. Great negative take on the weekend with only three losses. Now we only need Irish to chime in with his take, but he doesn’t show up as often after a win.
  12. I backed up the footage and it sure looked offside. Glad that missed call didn’t cost us the game.
  13. Our first road loss since the second week of the year and we are doomed! I always thought the formula was to sweep at home and split on the road, but I guess the new formula is win every game or else!
  14. Considering how many teams have won championships lately that barely get into the tournament, does it really matter if you slip a little two months removed from the tournament? We’ll see where they go from here. It is hard to get players attention when they still are winning playing less than their best.
  15. Goodness, our fanbase needs to step away from the ledge. It is still January, and if I recall the 2016 team laid an egg in Denver and still rebounded. There are concerns to be sure, but I think every team has them.
  16. Yeah, we actually won 3 of the last 5. It was before that we were struggling.
  17. Didn’t we beat them twice last year?
  18. Yes, once they got ahead 3-1 they started cheating for offense, thinking everything they touched would turn golden. Hopefully a hard lesson learned and we move forward from here.
  19. Griffin Ness with 3 goals, 3 assists tonight with 11 shots on goal. Guess you have to find some positive on a bad night.
  20. I think Wolff will hit someone from behind, or contact to the head.
  21. Especially when they called it a goal, and Miller did nothing to try and get out of the crease after initial contact. Keep your cool, and I see a five minute major coming to Duluth by trying to go out of their way to be physical.
  22. https://bchl.ca/stats/player/5825/40/cooper-moore Don't know how accurate this is being that I believe Moore signed his letter, but this shows him coming 2021-2022. Don't think him signing the letter this year means it is set in stone. It seems we haven't had all of our defensemen healthy that much this year, and it seems like that is quite common. Doesn't hurt to have that extra depth so you can send messages like Berry did to Bast last weekend after he took a penalty to put us down two men on the penalty kill.
  23. I think I read somewhere that Jamernik was interested in the Aerospace program, so maybe he has minimal scholarship dollars.
  24. Oh yeah, as I was going through the numbers I started after the traditional defensemen numbers.
  25. I would guess Gaber, Ness, Rizzo and Budy would take the spots of Bowen, Yon, Michaud and Smith, then it might come down to Ethan Bowen, Jamernik or Halliday to fill any spots if someone leaves early like Mismash or Kawaguchi.
