  1. Guess time will tell. Haven’t heard Fohr on a bunch of short lists for jobs, but who knows.
  2. Good point, we all look at the recruits like Zellers, and Mac Swanson coming in, and inevitably some guys unexpectedly make a bigger impact then we anticipate. Who would have thought Littler would produce 7 goals despite being in and out of the lineup? Curious to see if Klee can use his size effectively at the college level as well.
  3. I am hoping one thing Jackson brings is that best players play, and that all things being equal, the player with the biggest upside plays. Who knows how many games that alone could change, nevermind a more aggressive mindset.
  4. So in the same sense, Berry was under Hak, so things should have continued? I hope Jackson uses all the tools and knowledge from Hak and other people he knows in the hockey world and takes the best of each. New assistants could help bring new ideas, fresh perspective, and a closer relational tie to the players.
  5. They use everything as a slur. How many times did I hear Sioux suck, or Sue this, or something of the sort.
  6. That would be a hit to SIOUXFAN97’s narrative about Denver’s current assistants as the answer for our new head coach.
  7. We care about the planet!
  8. Yes, the fact that the freshmen and underclassmen led this team the second half while like you said the seniors were underwhelming gives me hope for growth.
  9. No way they put out a defeatist message like that.
  10. To his credit, he owned it.
  11. Yeah, one thing this hire does is keep the pressure squarely on the administration, because there will not be a grace period by the fans, that might have happened under new leadership. I expect hit the ground running, being that there won’t be a transition period.
  12. Regardless if Jackson works out, Chaves has got to go. Our programs have never been such a dumpster fire.
  13. As an assistant? Don’t see that happening.
  14. I was hoping it was Herter, so gfhockey could go 5 for 5 in his hypocrisy, vouching for guys that he later is advocating to fire, I mean ask the difficult questions about.
  15. I think Swanson figures it out next year too. Better utilization of his skills will help. He certainly could distribute to Zellers. Possibly the last two USHL Player’s of the Year on the same line. I could see both Boisvert and Livanavage in the discussion for the Hobey next year if they stay.
  16. That, and I am thinking we have plenty of talent should they get everyone to stay, combined with the factors you mention, and a re-energized fanbase and we could rebound. I hardly think the cupboard is bare when you could be starting with possibly the last 2 USHL Player’s of the year, the best returning forward in the league, if Bump leaves, and the best returning defenseman, when Buium signs. Another year under the belt for a young defense, and hopefully a healthy return of Zmolek, could do wonders. McLaughlin and Perron would need to step it up, but if you could get a potential high first round pick like Carter Bear in the lineup with his motor, it might be example for the rest. Who knows if they could also add another impact player from the portal or Major Juniors. Plenty there for a new coach to work with if he can convince people to stick around and infuse a new excitement and culture.
  17. Horses aren’t horses sometimes, until they become the horses. Would people have called Bump the horse of the league a year ago? What about Frattin, Malone, & Caggiula?
  18. No, Omaha players aren’t going to pick it!
  19. Wish someone would tell Armacost that!
  20. I would like to know what the coach thinks should be the yearly expectation of the program and what needs to be done to reinvigorate the fan base. My expectation is making the tournament, some Frozen Four runs, and perhaps a championship thrown in every 6-7 years. Basically having UND getting national exposure again, and bringing back the actual culture that made the program and instead of lamenting bad luck, cling to Ralph’s adage, “The harder I work, the luckier I get!”
  21. How would we feel about Mannino? CC has had difficulty scoring goals as well, but they have had some nice recruits. Wonder if he would be an assistant.
  22. So if they challenged both, and both were wrong, they would have lost their timeout and get a penalty, correct? If you challenge both I wonder if the refs look at it like you are throwing something at the wall hoping to make it stick, which may work to their disadvantage.
  23. They did challenge for offsides on one of Penn State’s goals. It looked like a better challenge would have been for goalie interference on that goal.
  24. Cooper Simpson with the only goal of the game, the overtime winner for Tri City. Carson Pilgrim doesn’t seem to be putting up numbers lately. Don’t know if he was injured, but was out of the lineup a few times, so maybe his ice time has been reduced.
  25. Hate to state the obvious, but the run you talk about hasn’t happened which is the reason for the change, something that is met with only excuses of injuries, etc., like no team can overcome adversity.
