  1. I don't think Berry himself would agree with your logic. Win the games you are supposed to. Since UND hasn't won a tournament game in forever, does that mean the pairwise was wrong to have them in the tournament?
  2. The bottom line is that the league has to win the non conference games, and they didn't do that. It is that simple. Our best team, Western, split with Michigan, and lost to Michigan State and Boston College, nevermind the rest of our league not taking care of their business in non conference.
  3. I have no problem with his call on the play, but I would love to know if he has backtracked since. If he is still sticking to the outrage after watching the replays, then he probably would have complained about the outcome regardless of that play.
  4. If it isn't a rule, it will be brought up in the next rules session. About time that Minnesota has to be at the forefront of some rule change brought about because of some grey area resulting in a loss in the National Tournament.
  5. I think most of us thought it was a bad no call when it happened, but to not be able to look at that and come to the conclusion that it wasn't as cut and dried as first thought is insane. A gopher fan at work at least admits on replay it wasn't something that should be called in overtime. So if they call it and Minnesota scores, then you definitely have a reason to be mad if you are UMass. At the very least, if the guy did touch him, you have to question if it was a dive, because it couldn't have been much contact, and diving if you are a defenseman making a rush is always a calculated risk, especially in overtime.
  6. You always say stuff like that, like it is fact. Remember we were going to go 3-9 the last 12 of the regular season, never mind your individual game predictions where you thought it was going to be ugly. UND wasn't good, we get that, but they did beat some good teams down the stretch with some guys out of the lineup.
  7. We have too many dyslexic fans!
  8. Yes, the trifecta!
  9. Exactly, lawyers and politicians.
  10. Watching the gophers and all of the odd, 71, 81, & 91 numbers, was wondering at what point UND allows those numbers. With a lot of leagues, and especially Major Junior donning those numbers, I am guessing it is a matter of time.
  11. UMass needs to jump on Minnesota early before they shake the rust off.
  12. There were stories out there when he decommitted from Miami.
  13. Pretty sure he was kidding.
  14. Too bad our players didn’t know they were as well!
  15. Cue the Schlossman article on how UND had a super tough schedule with Cornell on it.
  16. So does Minnesota State require their coach to have no neck? Hastings, now Strand. Does Motzko lose again to Minnesota State, and get banished to coach there? Maybe Gorg gets into coaching.
  17. Remember when we had the hard line to make life miserable for opposing stars?
  18. That would be more insult to injury, Minnesota using the Fargo regional to get to the Frozen Four the last two times! Didn’t Duluth use the Fargo regional twice to get there as well? Glad we can flip the bill for other area teams to make a run.
  19. Of course Western will lose because it will make things a little easier for Minnesota.
  20. Were they worse than the Mitchell Miller issues? I would think that our culture would really been able to help him become a good citizen. Seriously, depending on the issues, sometimes it is better safe than sorry, especially after the black eye with the Miller fiasco. Hindsight is 20/20, but it sure worked out well for Western, as no issues and he will be gone after this year.
  21. Yeah, don't go through the dog and pony show for appearance. At some point, people from outside won't even bother applying.
  22. Even though I was hoping for real change, I am willing to give Jackson a chance. I do wonder though if all the players and Alumni that are throwing their support behind Jackson are willing to buck up the buyout money if things look poor a couple years down the road. And yes, I say a couple years, because I don't give someone that has been inside the program while it has deteriorated the same grace I would give a new coach.
  23. I often think if they were constantly told to have consistent effort from start to finish of the game, and they failed to do so, I get the impression someone like Blais would make them hoof their gear to the city arena for practice to get them out of the cushy confines of the New Ralph and back to the roots of what built the program.
  24. Not saying either are the answer, but what were Gino and David Carle’s credentials?
