  1. Guess that means we will be getting Gibson Homer.
  2. Considering he is the one trying to spread discontent, yes it is refreshing.
  3. Can’t Ferris State and UND both claim Jason Blake? I’m sure there are a bunch more examples.
  4. Yeah, we may actually have to go to the net and get some dirty goals by getting in the goalies face. Boisvert and Perron could score with their shot. Boisvert seems like he would go hard to the net if needed, but Perron and McLaughlin not so much.
  5. Assuming he entered so he has a chance to actually play somewhere.
  6. At some point, if there wasn’t a back stabbing, how long would the program go on being run into the ground? Everyone else could see the program drifting into mediocrity except the administration. Something needed to be done to wake them up to that reality.
  7. Pretty much, and it is going to be a model that doesn't work well when more schools start dropping programs so they can compete better in their other programs. And now the NCAA is even running commercials trying to discourage fans from taking out their betting losses on the players. You've kind of created this new atmosphere yourself NCAA.
  8. ...and all the while the Athletic Director listens to the hockey Alumni when deciding a new coach. Perhaps they should be the ones laying out all the money for NIL, because who in their right mind would put money towards individuals when they aren't being led in a way to become a team. I am not so sure that some of this money isn't going to create division in the ranks to begin with, making team building even harder.
  9. The teams that are left in the tournament show you can win both ways, with a bunch of high end guys and guys that just become a team and will work for what is best for the team. Western and Penn State don't have the big time recruits, and neither did UConn or UMass, yet all of them made a run. UND should be able to get enough high end guys to make a run, but only if they can get all the guys to buy in and work together as a team rather than a bunch of individuals that have their own self interests in mind.
  10. Sounds like a current UND player called OMac that.
  11. If it means they will work hard and be all in, maybe some changes were in order. Both Perron and Boisvert seemed non-existent at points, however once Boisvert scored a few times coming out of his slump he continued the hot streak.
  12. I think it is a whole lot cheaper to put out a bounty on players, just ask Sean Payton.
  13. ...and with how our year was going, why wouldn't you be building for the future with Croal and Littler, guys that showed they cared?
  14. So if he wasn't getting out there enough is that Berry's fault or his. Would love to know how softball the questions were to Jackson during his interview process, because scouts and Junior coaches don't throw out that kind of information about not being out there lightly.
  15. Expectation is top 2 in the league, regardless. Jackson was part of the problem, and he does not get a grace period as far as I am concerned. A new coach would deserve that period, not someone involved in the downfall of the program.
  16. ...and Schlossman was upset that they fired Berry? The program is in utter disarray and Schlossman thinks "nothing to see here"!
  17. How did Chaves let our program get to this stage where we are the team getting raided in the portal, instead of being able to get the best talent. The fact that scouts and Junior coaches say we have to be more visible just shows he was completely asleep at the wheel not knowing what was going on with the program.
  18. Montgomery went through Senior day.
  19. Tanner Ludtke would be a great pick up and would offset some of these losses.
  20. Woe to the sinners that leave the UND hockey team. May a blight be put on your kin for generations.
  21. A lot of talent between those two players, but neither one fought through contact and were turnover machines. Hopefully they find a couple guys with offensive upside and are hard to play against to replace them. Have to believe the coaches were aware of both of these departures ahead of time.
  22. I would assume the GM counts as an assistant, otherwise why wouldn't every team just call a guy the GM.
  23. So let me get this straight, the 1883 Collective people are working harder than the coaches at trying to secure talent for the future?
  24. Would be interesting to know when the scouts and coaches expressed UND's lack of appearance on the recruiting trail to the Herald. If this has widely been known for a while, will it stay under wraps if the same issues remain under the new staff? Also, is this stuff not even in the wheelhouse of the Athletic Director or administration? I would think they should know how often coaches are out on the recruiting trail.
  25. But did Berry prevent Jackson from going out recruiting? It is easy to say you disagree with something to get a job, but did he go out of his way to touch base with recruits on his own. I guess we will never know, but if he keeps all the same assistants, instead of bringing in an assistant known for recruiting, then we may have our answer. I am much more upset about the state of the program now learning this, and frankly I am surprised Schlossman didn't keep that information in his lock box.
