  1. agreed. he made huge strides last year and it seems to all be coming together for him as a player this summer. I like to hear his skating has gotten better as that's one thing i think he could improve.
  2. They remodeled that entire block and It's really cool now with shops and restaraunts. Check out Brooklyn Bowling, cool joint. also, the huge ferris wheel is there if you like heights.
  3. I asked Schlossman about this earlier this year after he interviewed JT for an article. He said Toews had nothing but great things to say about the program and that he and Troy Murray follow the club through the year and talk about it.
  4. Leddy might be the odd man out. possibly Oduya.
  5. i'm curious as to why the Rough Rider fans don't like Oilers because it's drilled in the western part of the state. well, there aren't any Rough Riders riding horses in the eastern part of the state either. If i'm assuming a Rough Rider is a cowboy-type on a horse herding cattle..... either way i can't stand Rough Riders.
  6. who cares about all your opinions, i want to hear what the 'good ole boys' have to say about this.....
  7. I think this wouldn't have occurred had the nickname and logo still been in place.
  8. Suter makes 12M this season, 7M for Seabrook.
  9. Yikes! Rooting for the former #3 to get his house in order.
  10. Black Sheep and their coal fired pizza is the best imo. i go to the Mpls location once a month at least.
  11. Yeah, Gopher fans i know are hoping Guentzel doesn't take the job because then Donnie would have to coach again. hey, maybe he'd bring back John Hill.
  12. No NCAA titles but 3 Stanley;s.
  13. To each his own but 2011 will forever be that one for me.
  14. 2 def and a backchecker, other UND guys were at UM net, original shot was blocked, and a gift bounce landed on Holl's stick. Pretty hard to find much fault, It's one of those things that happens just as one of the tips on the PP could've gone in. Unfortunately, it was to the hated rival on top of it all. Good to know your mens league team plays that situation better though.
  15. http://www.1500espn....d_rivalry040914 Pretty good article from Jess Myers.
  16. Tomorrow I'm hosting USA Hockey and Big Chief at my house in MPLS since it worked for the Regional. If we survive tomorrow, I'll be watching the championship in some sports bar in Las Vegas. $$$$
  17. I too find it curious. Rocco is a one-of-a-kind player and i don't mean his height. i mean the angles he takes around the rink, the passes he makes, etc. He's just different than most players the way he moves around the rink, the plays he sees and tries to make. At times it seems he has a really hard time gelling with anyone regardless of who he's skating with. Take the World Junior tourney. He didn't fit like a glove with the other elite players in playing the same game out there. But he did score the critical goals on the biggest stage. I've scratched my head several times over the last couple years when he doesn't convert on a breakaway or a grade-A scoring chance. I guess with the hype coming in, i expect him to pull those off much more often than he does. I do think one more year at this level would benefit him more than going to the AHL. He does seem more comfortable on and off the ice in interviews than when he first arrived. You can never question his effort that's for sure and i'm happy he came here to play hockey.
  18. agreed. he's not dominating at the college level yet consistently. i would think they want to see him score more goals before he would move to a higher level against bigger players.
