Yeah, it’s not the same. There are high school teams there that average more than any college teams here.

I’m all for trying new stuff but I don’t know how you make a spring game anymore exciting. Fan interaction would be good but the games themselves are always pretty vanilla.
-
Across the country you are seeing spring games scaled back more and more. After last season this coaching staff would have been crucified on this board if they would have got the bullets flying and one or two players got injured. The idea of some different fan interaction would be good. My kids got some autographs and ran on the track while I watched so that was good

Biggest concern next year........o line
-
That isn’t far off from what is on the board. It’s not all doom and gloom and time to blow up the program but it’s not bunnies and rainbows either.
-
I don’t think anyone minds realism. Very few are duckies and bunnies all the time in this board. It’s easy to be negative all the time, every time. Gets old.

I’ll fix it than, I feel after watching Zimmerman in limited action he could give us good QB play. He brought an arm to the offense we have been missing for a while. Hard to gauge off of a couple games but I am hoping he improved in the off season.
-
I saw enough of Zimmerman last year in game action to believe he can be effective at the QB spot.

Read the article.....personal reasons

Nonconference possibly........
-
Except the part about Stewart. In the short amount of time he was healthy last year the kid could play. I don't know why UND has had such poor luck/evaluation of the safety spot. I know Reyes but he was only healthy about 60% of each season.

5. Will our LB corps outweigh our secondary?

Along with his brother and two cousins.

Generally good players make it easier for coaches.
-
I agree all coaches should constantly be evaluated but Jones is only one year removed for qualifying for the dance.
-
With the results on the court and fields this year there are plenty of coaches and players that need to re-evaluate their commitment to their respective teams.
-
From my understanding the shortage has more to do with the hours upon hours needed than it does space for training. This ties back to how things will be different in 5 years in college campuses and on job training requirements. You may be throwing money away by building dorms and more space when want to be pilots are better served doing things like flying for a air national guard unit to get hours.

Everyone to blame but the leadership in place
-
You just described the problem with Grand Forks. They are their own worst enemy, not the state, not Fargo, not Casselton. The leadership in Grand Forks. They wont invest in anything or seem to allow any growth to happen. Housing is not affordable. It’s growth seems to be limited by a few. The infrastructure needs work. Downtown could be great but let’s not change it. So you are left with what’s there, a bunch of things that are ok but nothing is great. Potential is there for a great campus, great facility for conferences, great downtown, great concert venues. They just need to get new leadership in place that is aggressive and isn’t in it for themselves. The state isn’t the enemy you keep trying to make them out to be.

Or because of the construction project at the Hillsboro airport.

President Kennedy Candidate for UCF President's Job

If this is what we have to pile on this president about, he wants to take photos with students and alumni to promote himself and the university we have come a long way from the days of "out of town and unavailable for comment". I really doubt that not choosing to be in a photo opportunity is what led to Faison retiring. It was likely not choosing to participate in a number of other activities that promote the university. It was not the man's strength as an AD.- 485 replies

I don’t know if it was ever in doubt but it had to gain approval from 4 or 5 state agencies that over see the path in each state. I can’t imagine constantly construction would have began without gain approval from all along with the Corps of Engineers.

Did you get your feelings hurt?

Not just UND. Education, especially professional education will change dramatically in the next 10-20 years. Even programs that may be "online resistant" may see a huge change in how people are trained or how the job is done. First college to figure out how.......wins.- 485 replies
