Were in my post did I even hint that I wanted UNDs offense to approach games like they did vs. NDSU? Please point it out for me.

I don't have as much time to look at the schedule but going off memory I would go back to the last three (maybe 4) games of 2015 and maybe around the same of 2016. Even in the playoff game vs. Richmond, up until the double reverse the offense didn't look bad. The games you mentioned I have no idea. 2014 I have no idea who our QBs were at the time but Kyle Norberg was a running back and we likely didn't have a lot of weapons for a QB to throw to. 2015 vs. NDSU I really feel the coaches played not to get blown out. I don't care who we threw out there we weren't beating them that year. The offense didn't really start playing well anyhow until changes were made up front, Grady started playing more and guys like Michael Coe adjusted to FCS vs. DII. I've already covered last year and stated our O-line wasn't very good and our QB was a very good game manager but didn't have the arm strength or consistent accuracy to throw the ball around 50 times a game. I would have liked to see more hurry up because he seemed to play better at that tempo but at the end of the day we had 3 freshmen or sophomores starting on the o-line and a carousel at right tackle. Not set up good for success. So to answer your question I was watching the same team/games you were. Where I disagree is that while we have maybe had average talent at certain positions during Bubba's time there have been times that they have strung 3 or 4 good games together. They have also battled injuries at QB during these years as well and didn't have great depth behind it.

I just think last year we had an offensive line that wasn’t very good and a QB that wasn’t going to beat teams on his own. And our defense wasn’t helping anyone out cause our offense wasn’t going to consistently drive down the field. Not defending anyone on staff but it was a reality. I watched an offense two and theee years ago that when they executed a vanilla offense look really good (until a double reverse). Last year, they couldn’t execute and looked really bad.

Agree with OLB. Ray Haas would have looked good in a uni this year and rounded out that group nicely.
  5. I think the Herald articles have been good. I’m not sure what more UNDsports could provide from practice recaps. I don’t believe any coaches are going to want video of every play, every practice posted online. Some schools don’t even allow for practices to be watched (media, fans or parents) so by getting brief sentences UND is allowing more than some fan bases get.
  6. Nguon has been in a boot a good chunk of the summer. He will likely need to be worked in to the rotation when ready.

Agreed and in my opinion It’s the easiest thing to do as a fan. If the team has a bad season next year, the response is “I told you so and have been the only one saying it for years.” Even though all of us agree and have posted the same things once, not every post If they get things turned around “the response is I’ve always been a fan”.

    Two different schemes
  9. SDSU would likely win the Big Sky as well. They are just a solid team right now with one of the top low/mid major players in the country.
  10. I said it. I stand by it too. Northern Minnesota (I said it in regards to a recruit north of highway 2) and North Dakota are not a primary recruiting areas for any of those schools above. One kid from North Dakota on the three rosters further proves my point on that area. I’m not looking at how many are from the Bemidji/Iron Range area but it’s probably not many more.
  11. Isn’t Parker’s Prarie south of DL?
  12. I have no idea how good the kids are. I trust the coaches but let’s be honest, how many MVFC teams recruit northern Minnesota and North Dakota? Historically the SD schools and UNI haven’t recruited in either spot.
  13. He does a lot of great things and seems to be a great person. If the intent of your post truly wasn’t “look at me I was at Carson’s wedding” I apologize. Lots of good people get married.
  14. So how many D1 offers are there for LBs in MN?
  15. Did I read correctly where gopherhole has him ranked as one of the top LBs in Minnesota?
  16. UND has too many great programs and offerings to have gone so long without an identity. I enjoy the current leadership has a vision
  17. Hopefully the new leadership can increase the corporate sponsorship with the athletics dept. This is good to see. Need to get some money out of company’s like Scheels. I don’t see a negative in selling some naming rights to some much needed projects.
  18. Need a recruit like this to help recruit other Twin City recruits to campus. Very solid early signing.
  19. Great to finally get a blue chippa on the roster. Wasn’t sure prior to the draft today if we’d land one.
  20. I have two coworkers with son/nephew being recruitied by the region schools. One will be a scholarship kid, one is a walk on. Both were at camp today. When talking about recruiting both sets of family have told me UND encouraged them to go to other camps to see other schools and compete vs other kids. So while I won’t argue with what you are saying, I find it very hard to believe based on multiple conversations I have had.
  21. With the problems getting urea out of the cities this spring I could see the plant get a little more pressure. I believe there needs to be a little more pricing adjustment for it to pan out. Definitely still in discussions.

This is a great thing for UND.
