I didn’t realize that. I’ve seen him play twice this year. He dominated plays vs Davies and last weekend bs Grafton.

He took a hard hit on the sideline.

His little brother is a better player but a little short for DT. 6’1” is generous in my opinion.

Agreed. The defensive staff had zero idea of personnel MVS had until game time. Would have liked to see some adjustments sooner but with a young/rusty secondary maybe the first half was to be expected. Need to be much better going forward which hopefully they will.

One name I haven’t seen mentioned from last night- Mason Bennett. Once adjustments were made on D and they were able to play a little faster the kid did what we expected him to do. Which is good. Him and #91 played well when we figured out what they were doing. They did what we all expected the game to go. Get the youth behind them up to speed and hopefully healthy. Shore up the secondary. Two corners playing their first game in two years. Hoping they continue to improve.

Looking forward to the game tonight. Hoping the student turnout for tailgating is as good this afternoon as it was last years opener. That was a party for the students and an awesome sight to see.

I can’t imagine the backlash if the situation were reversed. I would not rule out someone from that fan base writing a letter to the editor if a UND photo is used the week when they play Cal Poly. You just wouldn’t see it.

It had to play into Rudolph's mind calling plays. After two years ago when he got hurt late in the game vs. someone when he should have been on the sideline that is a mistake you don't want to make again.

Last year there was lots of times we needed our TEs in to help pass protect. And when the TEs go for routes is it not on the QB to find them? Studs was a great person, better at his position than I ever was at mine but he didn’t check off his presnap reads to often. He didn’t always have time.

Listen, I’m not defending anyone except my observations. If Rudy gets blame for lack of depth at QB (and I would add oline) than he gets credit for improved depth at RB, WR and TE??? I can only think of a couple times Keaton played when injured. I did not watch any practices last year so I have no idea why Zimm wasn’t the backup but clearly was the 2nd best QB on the roster.
