  1. I think after he pretty much outed himself as an author on SayAnything blog he has stopped posting. He wasn't forced to stop, he chose to and I don't know if he'll be back.
  2. Yeah, what a bunch of cry babies. I mean its not like Spirit Lake doesn't have more important issues they could/should be spending their time and effort on. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/352507/publisher_ID/1/ They should maybe take care of business at home before worrying about whats going on in Grand Forks.
  3. If our quarterback play improves from last year and we can stay healthy this year, your prediction could be accurate. Our road game schedule is pretty favorable. I think it will help having played and UNC last year and I believe San Diego St. and Sac St. are winnable road games. Getting Cal Poly and SUU at home (along with Portland St. and Montana) is pretty key. Every time I look at our home schedule I get excited. There are some really good football teams coming to Grand Forks next year. I do get a little nervous about finishing 7-4 and having that Mines game come back and biting us. It would be easier to take finishing 6-5 with an all FCS/FBS schedule than finishing 7-4 with our current schedule. Good post bin.
  4. Thanks for the update Ira and congrats to all 3.
  5. I know there are benefits and drawbacks to having the Big Sky conference tournament set up this way but this is a reason to be excited about the set up.
  6. The NCAA is advocating for them about as much as Al Carlson.
  7. Don't you think there is a huge difference between choosing to play a game in Fargo and being forced to play a game in Fargo? I don't think you could have paid the Packers enough money to play a playoff game at a neutral location.
  8. Portland St. is a team that I think will suprise some people next year and be a big test for UND at the beginning of the season.
  9. Well cross that one off your list. Keep digging.
  10. And all because they have "moved on"
  11. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that you are trolling this site, trying to get people worked up by pretending to be a UND fan.
  12. Its Dale Lennon and if Luke S stands for Luke Schleusner he's still at UND. You may want to follow more closely.
  13. Some of the damage is already being done Dave. Losing a home basketball game to Iowa has happened. As of now, losing hockey games to Wisconsin has happened. Coach Lennon has no reason to lie about his accounts of recruiting stories, talk to some of the coaches and they'll tell you the same thing. Its hurting recruiting yet fans like you are the ones who critisize coaches and where the programs are at. I guess I don't find any of this stuff funny that is already happening.
  14. Lots of assumptions on Wisconsin and U of M's scheduling so far. I guess that is all that can be done since so far, they have stood by the policies each have in place.
  15. Some of you should keep digging. Maybe Coach Hakstol changed his tune because a part of this nickname flip flopping finally affected the hockey team. For once the entire athletic department is united on their opinions of what needs to happen with the nickname and that is making some nervous. There are a lot of University of North Dakota sports fans out there who are starting to hear a united message.
  16. I wasn't aware that Wanless is back in the UND athletic office and is the one recieving phone calls about the nickname, will be the one creating schedules for the sports team, or will have to answer to anyone if the day comes where UND is removed from the Big Sky and U of M and Wisconsin are no longer on the hockey schedules. His opinion matters about as much as the AD from Minot St.
  17. They haven't scheduled them non conference now so I don't know why they would jump at the chance to schedule them if the situation was any different.
  18. Its easy to say that when they are not on the list. It's a pretty weak argument your trying to make in my opinion.
  19. I love this part- How does the non guaranteed chance of meeting someone in the playoffs provide a better opportunity to compete than a series that is scheduled at the beginning of the year. Is this guy guaranteeing that UND, Minn and Wisconisin are now going to make the playoffs every year? Also, if they all do make the playoffs there is no guarantee that they are paired up. Talk about grasping for straws.
  20. Your questioning Carlson's law that he himself said it is ok to break as there is no punishment for doing so?
  21. What is the thinking among Montana fans? Is this a conference they feel they would jump at? There are several schools in the BSC and the region who could potentially be good fits for this conference if they are seriously thinking about expanding to 30.
  22. UND always had to worry about the others, their opinion will be there regardless of what happens between now and june and will not change. Its about getting enough votes if it comes to that and Hakstol's thoughts on this will influence a lot of votes that were on the fence on the topic. I've always been of the opinion that 25% of the voters will vote yes and 25% will vote no, no matter what further information they get between now and June. Its the middle 50% that will determine the outcome and Hakstol coming out and commenting will influence some of that 50%. Look at the influence he had with the e-mail that had his name on it. If he is on the "name must be changed" side, some former very recognizable players may step up and also join him. This will catch the attention of a lot of people.
  23. He was quoting the article in the paper.
  24. And doesn't have the facts straight about what they are talking about.
  25. I don't think the hold up is where the first game is going to be held. Last game was in Grand Forks.
