  1. I don't care. I just find it funny that every response is that such a small percentage of fans want the game when its been made clear time and time again this year that your fans won't let it go. You proved my point by trying to justify your point by naming state schools that play eachother every year as your example. I think the volleyball and basketball games this year have more to do with not wanting the games scheduled than your fanbase moving on.
  2. You guys are trying so hard to talk yourselves into not wanting this game. Sioux suck chants during the nat'l championship, Sioux suck chants when you returned from the nat'l championship, Sioux suck chants at home games. Hell I was at a wedding last weekend in Dickinson of a former Bison player and a Sioux suck chant broke out at the end of the dance. Your post should read that there are not many of the 50 regulars on B'ville who want an annual game, there are more than plenty that want it to happen but are nervous of the outcome.
  3. I think you said it well and made good points. Now that the transition is over, its time to get serious about scheduling the game. I know a majority of Bison fans would rather play UND than Prairie View A&M. I find it very comical if you wouldnt.
  4. I admit I was wrong. It wasn't mentioned in the Media Blog however, Izzo have a couple tweets about it on May 15th. Mentioning Taylor told him about 2015 and 2017. I'd say Taylor was the first to go to the media.
  5. Gene Taylor was the first to mention the game and dates on the Bison Media blog. You don't even have to know how to read to see it since it was video. Than, Izzo tweeted about it. Only after that did Faison get a phone call and believe it or not, he said 2015 would be the first year it would happen and that they were talking. Wierd, its what Izzo and Taylor were saying two days earlier. I agree with a few posters from earlier, I think the basketball game and volleyball game from last year have Bison fans a little nervous about scheduling this one.
  6. This is like you choosing only the record of the last 50 years to base your opinion of the overall rivalry. Players and fans are thinking about UND immediately after winning the Nat'l Championship and you are wondering how they will respond to it. Good stuff. I think your question was answered last January.
  7. Just made my donation this morning. I urge everyone to do the same. Even if its only $5, I guarantee the alumni association will spend every dollar. Let the campaign blitz begin!!
  8. Good grief. If anyone is stretching the truth its Soderstrom. Does this guy realize that schedules can be redone in a day? For football, the conference schedule could be redone in a second so any Big Sky team wouldn't have to reschedule any games. For every other sport, having an even number would make creating the schedules even easier and a team could keep UND on the schedule as non conference if they absolutely wanted. Its funny how far they will stretch the truth to try and paint their picture. Other schools have laid out the facts for UND and made painting their picture pretty easy.
  9. Thoughts and prayers go out to all familis and friends. I grew up a few blocks away from Chris and his family and they were fantastic people. I heard about this early yesterday morning and was in shock. May God be with the Carlson, Miller and Robinson family.

    2013 Recruiting

I agree it would be nice to see a commit early but I really don't think we will see anything until after camps. I know the coaches got a lot of the kids they wanted to get here on campus for the spring game. Now if they can get those kids back up here for camps and get a week with them instead of a day, I think we'll see a few commitments.

    SDSU Jumps In

Haha, well played. Biggest day in their programs history and guess who is on their mind.
  12. Sunbelt is also eyeing New Mexico St.. This would really leave Idaho on an island for football.
  13. I'd say one for sure. Oakland is as good as gone.

    SDSU Jumps In

O'Keefe mentioned this morning they were discussing a non conference game, match or meet (sport unnamed) with U of M- Morris. They wouldn't schedule due to the policies of U of M. I wonder if this will apply to Mankato or Duluth for non conference as well.

    SDSU Jumps In

Not only twitter. Just listened to the SDSU AD on McFeeley and he stated the same thing. Until UND is removed from the sanctions list, they will no longer place UND on any schedules.
  16. I'm fairly certain that what happened 10 years ago under different leadership is not what is holding UND back from asking NDSU to give a public opinion.
  17. Is it only NDSU fan that listen to KFGO? The original post was made to encourage people who support the change of the nickname to call in and get their reasoning out there. The young man on there openly has stated many times how he will vote and why, why is it that any one who calls in with a different point of view is trying to pick a fight with a Bison fan? Dan I know you have a hard on for UND and want nothing more than to claim UND is dragging NDSU into this mess but there has been no UND official who has asked NDSU for help. I know as many NDSU fans who are voting "yes" on the issue as are voting "no". The only difference is the ones voting "No" openly share the same thought as Gunderson and want to discuss how they are doing it to hurt UND. When someone is explaining how they are voting and they start out by saying, I'm and NDSU fan, is why they are involved. Its all about if you support the name or not, it has nothing to do with being an NDSU fan unless your using that to justify why you are voting the way you are.
  18. Best of luck guys. Vikes need some help in the secondary.
  19. Did you figure that out all by yourself? Did you think his list was made up of schools with returning starters? And do you think a school with a returning starter at QB is going to use a scholorhip to bring in a transfer?
  20. I hope your right as well. I would take consistency at 200 with limited turnovers. I think we'll still be a run first team but our offense needs to move the ball to keep the defense off the field this year. I know I am critical of our DB play last year but in fairness to them they were on the field way more than they should have been. If our QB next year can find a way to consistently move the chains, I'll be happy. Also, Hanson had family ties to North Dakota as well as his grandfather lived in Fargo. He encouraged him to add UND to his list of schools to call. That is how the initial contact was made. After a visit was lined up, the business school and the direction of the program sold themselves.
  21. Are you Mel Kiper or something? How many UND scrimmages and/or pratctices were you able to take in this spring?
  22. I'm sticking with a 4th place finish at best, but if I see a much improved secondary we could finish higher. Our secondary needs to improve dramatically, and it could, if we are going to finish higher than 4th. Prove me wrong boys.
  23. If our secondary is improved we will finish higher than 6th in the Big Sky. I feel we are a better team than Cal Poly and have a good home/road schedule for our first year. After watching spring ball I think our offense will score points and our front 7 on defense will be up for the challenge if they can stay healthy. Secondary is my concern and if they show no improvement, we'll be a middle of the league team.
  24. This is great news. Danny proved last year that he has matured and become a leader on this team. With the talent and the youth we have returning, his leadership will be as valuable as his talent. Great news Danny.

    2012 Recruiting

I realy like the coaches aggressiveness this year with the early jump on recruiting. I know they did a better job this year identifying juniors they wanted to get on campus for the game and camps and have obviously done a good job getting them here today, now hopefully that carries into getting some up for camps and some early commits. It can only help to get kids on campus. Nice work to the coaches.
