  1. The money generated by a TV contract of top tier schools would easily support the Kentucky's and Iowa St.'s of the division. I cannot imagine what a TV playoff contract would be worth along with new television deals if they did not include Texas vs. Sisters of the Poor and Alabama vs. School of the Blind. Also, I do not see it a stretch for those larger schools to break away so they can keep the NCAA basketball money. As much as people like seeing George Mason make a run to the final four they would still rather have a Final Four of Duke, Syracuse, Ohio St. and North Carolina vs. UConn Butler, Virginia Common Wealth, Michigan St.
  2. I think there is real possibility for the marketing dept. to do some heavy marketing for some of the Big Sky opponents. Obviously the Montana schools have some familiarity but No. Colorado and Southern Utah will bring in good teams and are familiar to the area. And letting everyone know about Weber St. and the history they have is a great opportunity. The reason I love the Big Sky for our teams is the common opponents across all sports. Continuing to draw fans to see some of these teams vs. our volleyball and football teams can only help our men's and women's basketball teams. It will be a big change for what we had in the Great West.
  3. Congrats ladies. Great day overall. Its going to be an exciting volleyball season.

    New Jerseys

I'll take the over for the tight all black uni's this year. I think next year we get new green and whites and the black's become our new home uni. I'll take over. We win SDSoM, Portland St., Cal Poly, Northern Arizona and lose Southern Utah. Montana is a toss up.

That Dave is what is called an opinion. Actually, yes it is your biased opinion.

    Enrollment

Sometimes things happen in life that do not allow people to obtain a college degree. An online program is not a second-rate alternative to them. Its the way of the current world. As the seperation widens between classes in this world everyone has to find a way that fits their life styles to stay ahead. One of those ways is getting a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and not everyone can take 4 to 5 years off in life to do this. There is more to networking than partying on a college campus but without the signed piece of paper you are unable to open many doors.

    New Jerseys

Not only is Dorsett's jersey too big but his shoulder pads are too big. Right now tight jersey's are the trend. The old baggy uniforms are about as "in" as the old above the thigh NBA shorts.
  8. Faison has done a great job for UND and this is welled deserved. I think we take for granted that he took over a department that was a complete mess by the previous AD and has turned it completely around UND is in spots that seperate us from the other Dakota schools. The guys has positioned UND very well in the short time he has been here.
  9. I'm with vince97-01. If he can truely help the team, than pull his redshirt. However, if they do pull it he better see the field on a regular basis. One of the most frusrating things for me this fall has been hearing of Jer putting on needed weight without losing his speed or agility and realizing we traded what would have been his best year (5th year) for limited action last year. I'm excited to see Galloday and don't doubt he could get in the rotation but from all accounts it sounds like this kid could be something we haven't had at UND if we let him put some weight on.
  10. On the highlights from the scrimmage today it looked like there was pretty good crown in attendance. Anyone who posts here in attendance to give us a recap? Sounds like three Juco guys looked good today in Kennedy, Goard and Welch.
  11. Portland St. should be on that list in my opinion.
  12. The Opening Drive video is outstanding. Gives you the goosebumps a little bit. Great job to Jason and the rest of the crew who put it together. Cannot not wait until the opener.
  13. Great update Teeder. I love hearing the great posts about our offense. Its early but in years past all we have read about at the beginning of camp has been how good our defense has looked. Reading all this about our offense is a very good thing or a sign of things to come for the D. Exciting year ahead.
  14. I can sum this up.....we're scared of losing. (See basketball and volleyball)
  15. Thanks for the update Teeder. Man I am excited for this season.
  16. If that is accurate I would be ok with it.
  17. Someone way down on the charts wouldn't be a big blow worth tweeting about. Someone could have suffered an offseason injury as well.
  18. Trying to figure out which position lacked the most depth. With it being a big blow it has to be in the secondary. Or qb. Interested to see what it is all about.
  19. UND hasn't had a offense capable of keeping another teams offense off the field by gaining first downs consistently in a few years. Our defense has been put into some tough spots and has been on the field way more than is fair to ask. It all comes down to our offense performing to the level they are capable of this year. Even you, Bison Dan and teh Jonnyboy don't know if they are going to do that.
  20. About as much as ndsu donors for all sports and BSA.

    2013 Recruiting

Maybe they are getting some information to make their jobs easier as well. Last year they and the ndsu coaches were the only ones to know about the Molberg commitment. They knew about it even before Molberg himself.
  22. The papers out west cover the Big Sky more than they cover the conferences UND and ndsu were/are in. This was true even before UND got into the Big Sky. So yes, they have read about Eastern Washington more times than they have read about one of the directional Illinois teams in the MVFC.

    2012 Recruiting

The scholarship offer was the one he turned down from ndsu.
  24. True, but the western half of the state gets more coverage and is more familiar with the Big Sky than the Great West, MVFC or Summit so there is some interest there and some value to advertising there.

    Buy or Sell

Buy- he will be a steal and our recruiting class this year was good.
