  1. Johnnyboy, question for you since your a student at NDSU. Since your coach, AD and president want all these players to be treated the same as students in this case. What do you think would happen to a NDSU student who has been kicked out of the dorms for _____ (I know you know), been in trouble for______ (I know you know), maybe had a couple other offenses and than had this on thier record?
  2. What's everyone's thoughts on the defensive struggles? I know tackling has been poor but is it the play up front getting us in troble or is it the new secondary not filling when called upon? I don't know the answer but if our tackling doesn't improve the game against Cal Poly will be a challenge. I'm not looking past Sac. St as that will be a challenge and they have proven they can compete with FBS schools but the game vs. Poly is one that I circled at the beginning of the year.
  3. You've repeated this 3 or 4 times now yt you keep coming back on the board trying to brag up your program we don't care about. We aren't discussing the wins and losses of your program. We are discussing the lack of discipline within it. Maybe if NDSU could simplify the 4 stages a person goes through for punishment things would be easier. I mean, you would think the head coach of your football program could handle giving a punishment without having to get the ok from all the way across campus if he truely believed there should be punishment. He has done it before right?
  4. So you want your program to get attention when they are winning and things are going good, but when your coach and AD trip over thier dicks trying to sweep things under the rug and your president is left with the broom trying, unsuccessfully, to clean things up, you would rather have no attention on your team. I think I am following your logic.
  5. Well said Oxbow. I agree with your post. I said all offseason that I believe Muss has come a long way as head coach and can get the job done. Next week he and the team can prove that. Lots to be frustrated about but the guys have to bounce back next week in a big way.
  6. Come on defense. One time.
  7. 42-34 SDSU. 14 minutes left in the 4th.
  8. Hardin is rediculous. The guy is an absolute gamer.
  9. A lot of to ask for from the offense going into the 4th. They have to score twice and the defense has to get a stop at some point.
  10. And our offense might score 50+.
  11. Come on defense. Our tackling is absolutely pathetic.
  12. Caught a ball early and has blocked well on the edge. That was probably the thing that impressed me the most with him last week as a freshmen. He blocked well.
  13. Any one else having trouble picking the video feed linked earlier?
  14. Well, D needs to make a play on this possession and get a stop
  15. And this isn't even with our best qb.
  16. And you should. I'd take a win vs. any of those teams.
  17. Defense needs to pick it up this half. That first half was ugly. Offense looks good, the one turnover we could afford hurt. Special teams, roughing the punter killed us. Had a chance to get off the field. Miller rock solid as usual. Mistake free football wil get us back in the 2nd half. Sloppy first half but a score on this first possession and we're right back in it.
  18. That might hurt. Kick out of bounds right before half.
  19. Its deflection. Similar to the president of NDSU saying in one of his initial e-mails that "this should all pass over soon". Just keep deflecting and changing the subject and hope it will all pass.
  20. I have to agree with bin that this years team (as of now) appears to give Muss a little more flexibility to coach to win. The games that stand out to me during our transition that sum it up better than the FBS games are the Montana and South Dakota St games. In those games we struggled to complete 5-10 yard out and curl routes. Getting a 4th and 10+ during those times would have required a penalty to convert. The part of me that agrees with Oxbow however was when we sat on the ball before half when we did have a lead vs. Idaho. That was disappointing but I think with the offense we have now, we go for the points. I was interested to se what would have happened last week vs. Portland if we wouldn't have blocked that punt before half to set up the TD. Would we have went for the points and just been happy taking a 4 point lead into half?
  21. I don't think any of us are jealous of having 10 players on our roster with an upcoming court date that will be widely covered and bring all of this up again and force answers again from your coach, AD and president.
  22. Is that the original no punishment or the one that will come after this clarification or the next clarification. Also, what level of the 4 levels of punishment will be the correct level for those truely concerned with Bison football? How about those concerned with the state of ND voting laws and your Gene and Craig's misplaced concern about those?
  23. This is the 2nd time this week your president has had to clear up comments made earlier by your coach and AD. Even without your trolling and trying your best to get this thread closed down, your administration is keeping this in the news. I wonder if this 4 layers of punishment is a new thing or only implemented during the season? Its never been an issue before this. I wonder what the next clarification is going to be. I'll have my popcorn ready.
  24. I wonder why these "tough" questions have not had to be answered before? It seems like this punishment is so much more complex than issues in the past. I guess when Taylor said there will be "no punishments period", that is what I took it as. Good thing the pres is trying to clean up the mess. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/374301/
  25. What Taylor was really trying to say in his comments about these actions. They aren't as serious as the sex crimes our football team had to deal with both a month ago and last year. They aren't as serious as the drug crimes we had to face two years ago with a major crime bust and one of our players being a dealer. They aren't as serious as the large internal theft ring we had going on a few years ago from Best Buy and also the computer theft one of our WR's was released from team for. They aren't as serious as the string of DUIs that we had. He should have just come out and said, in the last 3-4 years this football team and football program have experience with some major crimes. When ranking these to the list of those above, this one doesn't deal with drugs, alcohol or theft. And no one got hurt here except for the feelings of these players who were truely the victims in all of this.
