  1. I'd love to but I don't like the look of a dish on my house.
  2. Here is hoping to some big plays in the first half tonight. I'm expecting us to lose some students at halftime but as someone mentioned earlier, if we play an entertaining brand of football, they will be back when a better opponent comes to town (i.e- next week). I don't want to see a replay of last season running the ball every down vs. Drake. Get up big at half and have the outcome be what the fans are expecting. Big plays on offense, big hits on defense. That is my expectation for tonight.
  3. When a fan of an established FCS team who has played a D2 the last 3 years comes on a board and starts questioning why a team that is just through the transition is playing the same game, it is going to get some comments. Sorry you don't agree on that one Dan.
  4. Its a lot more difficult to write a check to a competitor than it is to write a check to the REA. If anyone thinks CableOne is going to do what is best for their customers I think you are mistaken. What other option do people in Fargo have if they do not want a dish hanging off their house? As a CableOne customer I sent an e-mail to them a week ago asking about the availabliltiy of watching games on TV and have still recieved no response. I wasn't expecting the minutes of the last meeting but a "negotiations are still in progress" would have worked. There are many people in Fargo that will gladly let Midco punch holes in their yard to get another option for a cable provider and this is a classic reason why. I'm not so quick to put all the blame on Midco.
  5. Phase 1 is $13.8 million. If we do not have the funds we are very close. I'm almost certain there was more money there than what was announced today. Faison stated on KFGO today that they were waiting on approval and may tear down the old Ralph soon. Second phase of the project was $6 million.
  6. I'm all for wearing the blacks. Its a new good look for the program.
  7. This is outstanding news. This facility will be top notch for the area and huge for recruiting.
  8. I don't want to get my hopes up again but seeing that, hearing Muss's comments during his online interview and reading all these tweets about big news while knowing we were fairly close to finally having the funds to proceed with this project. This would be an absolutely huge announcement to kick off the 2012 season.
  9. Jason just tweeted again that "this isn't your average Wednesday." Something is going on today. Let's hope it builds more excitement for tomorrow.
  10. I agree with Dan on this one. I'm not saying we have to have a roster full of them. I'm just suprised we only have one.
  11. I'm suprised we only have one South Dakota player on the roster. That state has been good to us in the past. Hopefully we can change that going forward and readd a neighboring state to our recruiting grounds.
  12. I'm guessing if the man or woman wanted to be known, he or she wouldn't be an annonomous donor. I don't think you beat that one to much and I know Muss isn't going to say any more about it. Just be thankful the money is there.
  13. Great find. Interesting article. Obviously something is going on there.
  14. I don't know how it logically happens either but I also don't think the BCS conferences started talking about a 96 team NCAA basketball tournament to get more teams in from the Big Sky or the Summit. Do you? That tells me that they are getting tired of splitting the money their teams earn. If the Big10, Pac12, Big12, ACC and SEC start pushing hard enough, who do you think the NCAA sides with? BCS conferences or nonBCS? I don't know how it is ever going to happen but it won't shock me when it does.
  15. So what the poster was saying was the split will be BCS, than you'll have remaining FBS and FCS. At least that is how I took it. Him responding to how to further split football.
  16. I like the Big Sky Logo. Looks great. Can't wait until Thursday.
  17. The smaller schools aren't going to be the ones making the decisions. The Big10, Big12, SEC and Pac12 don't care about hurting the feelings of the Summit and Big Sky. Will it happen, no one can say for certain either way. Like SiouxGuy said, its all about $$$.
  18. The money generated by a TV contract of top tier schools would easily support the Kentucky's and Iowa St.'s of the division. I cannot imagine what a TV playoff contract would be worth along with new television deals if they did not include Texas vs. Sisters of the Poor and Alabama vs. School of the Blind. Also, I do not see it a stretch for those larger schools to break away so they can keep the NCAA basketball money. As much as people like seeing George Mason make a run to the final four they would still rather have a Final Four of Duke, Syracuse, Ohio St. and North Carolina vs. UConn Butler, Virginia Common Wealth, Michigan St.
  19. I think there is real possibility for the marketing dept. to do some heavy marketing for some of the Big Sky opponents. Obviously the Montana schools have some familiarity but No. Colorado and Southern Utah will bring in good teams and are familiar to the area. And letting everyone know about Weber St. and the history they have is a great opportunity. The reason I love the Big Sky for our teams is the common opponents across all sports. Continuing to draw fans to see some of these teams vs. our volleyball and football teams can only help our men's and women's basketball teams. It will be a big change for what we had in the Great West.
  20. Congrats ladies. Great day overall. Its going to be an exciting volleyball season.

    New Jerseys

I'll take the over for the tight all black uni's this year. I think next year we get new green and whites and the black's become our new home uni. I'll take over. We win SDSoM, Portland St., Cal Poly, Northern Arizona and lose Southern Utah. Montana is a toss up.

That Dave is what is called an opinion. Actually, yes it is your biased opinion.

    Enrollment

Sometimes things happen in life that do not allow people to obtain a college degree. An online program is not a second-rate alternative to them. Its the way of the current world. As the seperation widens between classes in this world everyone has to find a way that fits their life styles to stay ahead. One of those ways is getting a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and not everyone can take 4 to 5 years off in life to do this. There is more to networking than partying on a college campus but without the signed piece of paper you are unable to open many doors.

    New Jerseys

Not only is Dorsett's jersey too big but his shoulder pads are too big. Right now tight jersey's are the trend. The old baggy uniforms are about as "in" as the old above the thigh NBA shorts.
  25. Faison has done a great job for UND and this is welled deserved. I think we take for granted that he took over a department that was a complete mess by the previous AD and has turned it completely around UND is in spots that seperate us from the other Dakota schools. The guys has positioned UND very well in the short time he has been here.
