  1. With the internet and being able to watch every road game on TV this is becoming less and less important. I think you are over estimating the number of families amongst the team that go to every single road game. There are some that do so and those that do have the option to fly with the team on the charter for a couple hundred dollars.

    UND Defense

I have heard the same thing about Edwards and am hoping its accurate. We need better play and depth at that spot. Its the key to the 3-4 defense against the run. Also, we need some linebackers who can get some pressure off the edge and at this level they are going to have to be more athletic than in the past. I think the coaches have worked on addressing that and we have some young guys who hopefully can step into that role. And it comes down to just making plays when put in the right spot. I continually watched guys get cut down on the edge against Poly as they ran it down the field. Sometimes it just comes down to getting off a block.
  3. I hope you take the time to explain to them simple things like stealing pens from the office is wrong, surfing the web during work hours is frowned upon and you can't sign your co workers signitures on documents or it will result in termination. And if you don't explain these things, its an easy excuse to be used by others and easily accepted by some. Regarding your deflection, coming on this board and trying to change the subject, cause the thread to get closed or whatever it was you were trying to do is a form of deflection. This is in the community forum, I know your mods at bisonville will lock a thread like this to get it off the mainpages but it is something that had an effect on the entire state. Deal with it. And talk about moving on, Kristo's frostbite happened 2 years ago now, still the go to example everytime a bison football player gets arrested.

I don't disagree CM. I just get frustrated watching this defense. I don't know if the problem is up front or in the secondary or a combination of both. Up front one thing we don't have anymore is a true two gap noseguard. I kept watching Cal Poly run up the gut on us and that jumped out at me. If its a scheme change where it won't be required, we need lb's behind him who can and will make the tackle. I watched guys get to the right spots vs. Cal Poly and continually miss tackles. Secondary- I don't know what to say. I don't know if we are a couple athletes short there or if we are now having to put so focus on stopping the run that these guys are hung to dry. A lot of coverages we get beat on are one on one coverages and a guy is dragging all the way across the field. A number of times, coverage isn't bad, but we just aren't finishing the play. I look at our roster and most of our DB's are freshmen, sophmores or junior transfers. We are young there but think we either need a safety to step up this offseason or bring one in. Done venting. As Oxbow said earlier, the Poly game still bothers me more than last night. The thing that bothered me about last night is this team continues to give up the big play and not give ourselves a chance. The kickoff return last night and the TD before half bothered me. The fullback trap vs. Poly was inexcusable.

This is frustrating. We continue to kill ourselves week in and week out.

UNI is down this year. They aren't the smashmouth, in your face team they have been in the past. They aren't as solid across the board. This was my opinion after seeing their game this year and the opinion of one of my family members has a little more invested in Fargo football than I have. He was at the game last week at UNI. I think Youngstown in a playoff team, just after seeing them today I think they are overrated. They will lose at least one more game in the MVFC.
  7. There is a big difference between explaining a situatio and actually saying the words "I am sorry". When the president says that Gene would like to apologize for his comments, most expect to hear those words. End of the day, the opinion of any of us here doesn't matter. If the pres and Gene are happy, thats all that matters. I as a football alum of UND expect the program to teach the kids in it life lessons. They spend more time around the coach and AD than their parents during that time. According to Bison06 and yourself winning games is all that matters at Fargo so to be honest, not hearing an actual apology does not surprise me.

I would agree with this bin. Fargo has a really solid team with a lot of depth. This is something it took them some time to develop and something we are really lacking right now. We need to continue to string together some recruiting classes.

Same thing happened to me during the Sac. St. game. After I was unsuccessful a number of times I exited out and than relogged back in. It worked for me after that. Not sure if it will help but I hope it does.
  10. This. If we can do either consistently, we'll be in good shape. I just don't free throws to kill us this season.
  11. I heard Brescani say it the other day and it just sounds like another excuse to me. Blame the company for these guy's mistake, easy way to justify sweeping it under the rug. "Company targeted them, didn't explain the rules of forgery and they didn't know any better." So my question is, if someone applies for a position, shouldn't they know what they are applying for? You come on here deflecting everything and I just wanted your opinion on it.
  12. Your telling me a bunch of 20 something year old kids would forge names and not know it is wrong? By the way- If I had to place money I would say Kristo was drunk when his offense happened. However stupid it was though, no actual laws were broken.
  13. So your president said during a interview that they may have been targeted because of their high profile standing but didn't say it? I don't follow you. You can listen to his interview on KFGO. Regarding either Izzo or Kolpack, I believe one of them questioned the company doing the hiring on their blog. As far as your fans questioning it, just read your fan forum, los of finger pointing there. A lot of statements that they were possibly targeted but I wonder if they were just given the job or if they applied for it?

Based on the defenses season of work so far we should have no shot in this game. As others have stated though I just have a feeling a different UND team is going to show up. We seem to play better on the road and I don't know if our offensive struggles from last week will linger. I just keep thinking our offense is going to show up and our defense is going to create a couple timely turnovers similar to Sac. St.. I think this is the week Daryl Brown shows up. UND is going to have a chance late and capitalize and the difference will be Zeb Miller.
  15. Your President said they were likely targeted during his interview on Heitcamp's show on Wednesday morning. Also, it has been said by either Kolpack or Izzo and many on your fan board.
  16. Jiarea, do you think these players applied for this position or were they recruited because of their high profile status as your president suggested on Heitcamp's show the other day? I keep hearing that from bison fans and administration but have not read or heard any proof of it anywhere else.
  17. Does anyone know if these players applied for the position? I heard the Bresciani on Heitcamp today and he made the comment that these players were probably targeted by this company as high profile people. So did the company approach one or more of these guys and ask them to do this. I've heard this excuse many times and it sounds to me its more of a cry for pity. He also mentioned that these guys have probably "suffered more than the average student". No kidding, probably cause the average student would not have their coach and AD tripping all over their dicks and putting their feet in their mouths trying to come up with excuses on why they shouldn't get in trouble. I respect the man for coming on the radio. Unfortunately to me after hearing the interview a second time on McFeely, he came across as a man making excuses for his this whole situation and the players involved.
  18. Whats your thoughts on smoking, sticky fingers, speeding, illegal signiture signing Ojuri (anyone who knows the entire story behind his earler slap on the wrist name for him) still being on the team? What's Coach Bohl, Polosek or Fuch's rule for a 1,000 yard rusher? Do you treat them like a cat, 9 strikes and your out? You can try and point all the fingers you want but your starting running back has struck out once and is over half way to number two and your AD and coach still want the public to believe he and his buddies have faced enough from the public. Its almost funny that you try and defend his actions by pointing a Kristo. While some of Kristo's actions have not had any intelligence involved with them, they have not broken any law.
  19. I thought it was a petition signing party?
  20. http://www.undsports.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?id=1064595&db_oem_id=13500 I have to credit the Sioux FB blog guys for this link. Golloday's catch is at the 4:45 mark. Like I I said earlier, all the fans that were left all were amazed when he made it. The kid is going to be a star, this catch was the first of many.
  21. I'd love to respond to this post but don't want to drift this thread away from Saturday's game. Great spelling as always.
  22. I did. I was having the same discussion with the guy behind me in our section. The entire east side of the stadium was much more full than it has been all season. Does anyone have any video of the Golloday catch? Not to times you'll see a catch with your team down 18 and the crowd that is still in attendance goes crazy. It was that good.
  23. Also, props to Cal Poly. They are a solid team that will be in the playoffs this season. They have a very good RB and some speed of defense. They may run the table from here on out.
  24. On the drive up, listening to the pregame show, Muss mentioned that Hanson wasn't at 100% but was hoping to get him in the game. We'll see what the extra week does for him. I think we need to get him back on the field to see if he can bring something back to the offense. Hendrickson, while he kept some plays alive with his feet, looked a little confused at times and missed some wide open guys. Also, the turning point for me on offense was when McGill was injured. He's such a good slot guy that always seems to get open. Our offense lost the rhythm they seemed to be getting at that point. Defensively, don't know what to say. We lost the corner to many times. Someone had to get off a block to make a play and it didn't happen. Also, missing an easy INT early allowed them to continue a drive and score a TD. Our defense couldn't get itself off the field when the opportunities were there in the 1st and 4th quarters. Looked good 2nd and 3rd.
  25. I wish I could blame my employer if I was lazy and screwed up at my job and that would be acceptable as "boys being boys". What did you think was going to happen when you resurrected this thread with your post. I think you should have let it rest until Tuesday.
