My point was, it shows where all the Dakota schools sit in the pecking order. UND's conference situation right now is solid. However, it wasn't long ago that we were nervous of the Montana schools leaving. If UND were actively looking to find something else, this shows about where we would sit. Geography will always be the limiting factor for any of the Dakota schools.

I don't think it's embarrassing. UND will be equally as far down the list. It's probably more disheartening. All FU fans were happy to see UMKC go cause they "brought down" the Summit league, yet there is a chance that the MVC may welcome them with open arms. UND and FU's biggest hurdle will always be geography. No one in a bus league is traveling to Grand Forks or Fargo in the winter. This makes me happy to be in the Big Sky over the revolving door Summit league. There are Summit members who are located in other conference footprints who may be affected by the upcoming conference shuffle, and those schools would bolt at the first offer.

Do you put any of this on the players? They got out hustled on the ice in 5 of their last 6 games?

If true I hope Dustin is ok. Sounds like he was going to be leaned upon his season for some PT. Never want injuries, especially in spring ball (or prior). I was hoping the injury bug would stay away from us this season.

Its an interesting debate. While I don't disagree with you, the "bic pen bowl" would probably got better ratings than any FCS playoff game last year. McFeely had an interesting interview yesterday with the play by play guy from Georgia Southern yesterday. He had some interesting insight as to why GSU was making the move when they did. I haven't looked but I'm sure its on podcast today.

It won't hurt when the IPF gets done (assuming it is starting in May like has been discussed), and we have one of the nicest indoor tracks in the country along with one of the only 300 meter indoor tracks will be a nice shot in the arm for the program. Also, being in a competitive track conference will also be a nice recruiting pitch.

Maybe the line of Knight, Kristo and Grimaldi weren't having great "puck luck" either in those 5 games before they were split up. They sure seemed to play well together last Thursday when given the opportunity.

Congrats to Quinton. I wish we knew what Jones was doing with the large amount of scholly's that will be available after next season and what type of players we were surrounding this guy with.

I do not see the MVFC replacing Youngstown either if they happen to leave. I think they prefer everyone playing each other and they are set with the addition of USD.

Makes sense for Youngstown. CAA is the conference they would like to be in. They were one of the most concerned about travel to the Dakotas for football.

That board will comparitive score anything to death. At the end of the day both the Summit and Big Sky were one and done. No one will remember the scores after the weekend. Something they really love to compare though, their beloved RPI has Montana one spot higher than FU. According to them and their coach- RPI is pretty much the end all of discussion when comparing teams.

Tough to overcome an opponent that shoots 60%+ in the first half. Some lazy defense by UND and lights out shooting by UNI allowed them to shoot that percentage. Still very much looking forward to next season. Addition of Hooker, Nash and hopefully an elgible Traylor will be nice additions. Also, Huff really played great team basketball the last 1/4 of the season and became a leader. He will be at the top of the Big Sky next seaso and I'm looking forward to watching him develop further.

That was a nice play by Webb to get the steal. The step back when UNI tried to throw the ball off him out of bounds.

I'd like to see the Gophers on the schedule and maybe another trip to play Wisconsin.

gabe, without looking who won the CIT or CBI last year? Its extra basketball for all teams involved.

Any chance he takes his redshirt this season? I know he is capable but if he's not 100% he does still have that to fall back on.
