UND 31 RM-17 Ced Simmons has a nice day on the ground. Very nervous that we may be playing two walk ons at the safety spots.

I'm looking forward to the game just to watch this team in person, do some talegating, etc. Not sure what to expect tomorrow. I'm a little nervous on the injury front of who is on the field. I know Bubba is not going to let these guys lay an egg tomorrow and I am willing to bet there is more effort on the field tomorrow than we saw last year. I understand the opponent is below averge but we need to use this as a stepping stone to get better. For me, a decent measuring stick will be the following week vs. Missouri St. They are an average MVFC team who has a history of playing pretty well at home.

I'm assuming since we are going to green jersey's that the entrance will change. Any ideas on what it is going to be?

This^^^^^^^^^^^^ Another reason we need to get a new name selected and start to build the new brand.
-
The players and coaches expect to win now. I see nothing wrong with fans having that same expectation. No one comes here to be average.

Thank you for the updates. I had to look at highlights of Tristyn Hanson, the kid is a heck of a football player. I hope he enjoys his time in Grand Forks this weekend.
-
Have they released a depth chart for the game? I'm wondering if there have been any changes.
-
I didn't agree with MafiaMan's post you responded to but this post is a classic. Did you break any keys typing it?
-
Think Bohl and Klieman still talk? I agree, I don't see this being a real close game. UMs oline will need to improve in a hurry if they are going to stand a chance.

There is always a darkhorse that does rise up through out the year, I don't know who that is this year. There are some interesting teams out there to watch. Villanova took a Syracuse team to the wire that was ranked higher than ISU in a majority of preseason polls this year. Was that game a fluke? Can SDSU hang around long enough for Sumner to get back to healthy and have a chance at the postseason? There are east coast teams who recieved multiple transfers during the offseason, as Braden Hanson proved a few years ago, the right fit can win you some games. My point was, we have watched one week. There will be teams who improve dramatically from week 1 to week 2. I watched a special with Mack Brown and Nick Saban and they talked about how you just try and survive week 1 to see what you have in game situations and make adjustments there after. There will be a lot of teams making adjustments after this past weekend so I am not ready to write off every other team except two after a week of play.

That is a lot of answers after one week of football. Lots of football to be played.
-
Looking forward to the tailgate on The game on Saturday. Want to see the response after a tough week.

I like that all these kids were on campus already. That is different than years past as well.
-
Welcome to UND. He seems to be a very motivated kid and a solid player. I am very impressed with all three Canadian commitments so far.
-
This has been explained multiple times over, both at the level of a five year old and 65 year old. UND was bit getting into any conference with the nickname. Getting rid of the nickname was something the school did for the better of all Olympic sports. Besides hockey, those sports needed a home.

Next weekend with 1/3 of the roster playing in their first home game. Also, the improvement from week 1 to week 2 and what the coaches can correct with game film and a long week.
-
Not looking like much had changed in Laramie
-
I'm glad the coaches and players now have a film they can evaluate that is against someone other than ourselves. I expect some shuffling on the depth chart based on performances last night.
-
Our RBs have to take a page from our QB and just hit the hole.
-
Not sure why they threw there. They were getting 5-7 yards a carry.
-
Cal-Poly and NMSU tied 7-7 with 4:48 left in the 1st quarter.
-
For those interested, Cal-Poly is just getting ready to start in their opener vs. New Mexico St. Game is also on ESPN3

Tonights game will be telling. I think we will see better offenses and defenses this year than what SJSU puts on the field. They may not both be in the same game. I don't put anything on comparitive scores from last year. We have a lot of room for improvement, QB play, O-line play, catching the ball, tackling, turnovers, stupid penalties, the list goes on. I expect to improve on those as the year goes on but if our tackling, turnovers and discipline improved from last year, I think we will be in this game into the 4th. I'm really looking forward to this new season and hopefully the passion Bubba and staff bring to the players.

This. Competitive scores don't matter, than they do. Head to head results don't matter, than they do. I guess it's what best fits his arguement.
