Sponsor blackjack tables at the Canad Inn, similar to Teammakers in Fargo. That would easily raise the neccessary funds.

IMO- this shouldn't be that difficult for Faison. He needs to sit down and priortize each sport and what the best return on his investment will be. Mens Hockey- remaining competitive will fund other sports Football- who cares about the conference, the regional schools will offer it and we need to be competitive to start selling the 4,500 tickets not being sold on gamedays Basketball- this money may be tied up in buying out a year of Jone's contract Womens WBB- Fans pay to come to these games and enjoy them. Don't let the momentum slip from thats been built the past two seasons. Volleyball- see above Hockey- selling tickets for $1 doesn't drive revenue. Have the facilities to get top women's players without the additional money.

My only question is it this really 11th hour or him not being responsible enough during the first 10 to understand the whole issue?
-
There is also the fan that just wants to watch the game regardless of who wins. There are a lot of them in Notth Dakota. $200-$250 tickets wouldn't surprise me.
-
This will be a hot ticket. They would have no reason to believe otherwise. Ticket prices will be well over face value in a 19,000 seat stadium.
-
Why such a huge hit? What else was he doing besides recruiting until recently?
-
Not surprising as Grabowski had appeared to be doing a lot of the recruiting as of late.
-
The last two basketball games have been ass kickings that were over in the first 10 minutes. They were pretty one sided. I would argue with you that the FU crowd was not in the game vs. UND this year at Scheels arena.
-
A. - With no interest from FU fans, tickets should be easy to come by. B. -UND sporting events in Fargo are the only way tickets sell for over $1000 C. - tell me more about how you don't care about UND anymore
-
I can't tell if your being sarcastic with the last half of this post.
-
Coaches have said so in the past. I'm guessing it was more the NCAA threatening sanctions and the threat of not being in a conference. That would kill any low major program.
-
Most I know voted to allow the school to do what they felt was best. At the end of the day it is tax payer dollars that would be spent on this.
-
Ulterior motives would have been to pass it, force the school to continue to spend money to fight it and force the NCAA to put sanctions on UND. Allowing the school and coaches do what they feel is in the best interest for thier programs is far from an ulterior motive.
-
Over 2/3rds of the North Dakota voters "liked" the idea of allowing the school to move on.
-
The Seminole tribe of Florida gave a current approval to the NCAA in a manner that was acceptable.
-
I blame Hak.
-
Jones needs to do a better job getting players in that will fit together. I think a bunch of guys from the Twin Cities and Iowa would do that. Last year guys like Nash and DeRoen didn't seem to be good personality fits with the team. I'm guessing Coleman was frustrated with lack of playing time and one could question how/if that carried over to the locker room.
-
That's cause it doesn't/won't make money.
-
Two women's programs "failing" was not reaching the NCAA tournament. Those are now the expectations. Men's hoops was disappointing, football was improved but work to do. You forgot the other thing that stays the same, you constantly posting more about UND than most fans. Doesn't even matter if it's true or not right Dan.
-
If he gets here and stays eligible I would welcome the addition. I wouldn't argue with the point of it benefiting other programs either.
-
Again, I will wait to judge what our program is willing to pay when our current staff earns a salary increase or our current staff is replaced. Right now we don't just pay more to the current staff because everyone else is doing it.
-
Faison has shown if a coach or staff earns a bump in pay, he'll provide it. Just like the real world, you don't get a bump in pay without results.
-
With UND confirming Shields and Coleman leaving, still sticking to this?
-
Dickinson St went from the Savages to the Blue Hawks so there's that.
-
Any additional motivation is there for the boys if needed: Game 1- playing Boston with the best player in the country in their backyard Game 2- "potentially" helping your head coach get the monkey off his back and "potentially" playing a rival for #8 or Playing this years Cinderella and a team who will be looking forward to playing UND at full strength. Its going to be a fun week and a half leading up to the games.
