All 5 home games (Midco) and 2 road games (state NBC and Regional Root Sports) will be available on TV this year. Its unlikely Portland St., Weber or Cal Poly get broadcast so those three will have to be streamed on BigSky TV which is not a bad option.

Property tax or income tax?

In your opinion who gets to vote? I'd say students, alumni and tax paying citizens of North Dakota. Would you agree?

Could the tribal leaders have said that the pipe ceremony was "sacred" and therefore given their written approval without hesitation?

Unless what the stakeholders want could ultimately harm the university.

They have recently been rallying behind "North Dakota Proud".

Or the 3 year "cool down" period is up and the intention all along after that "cool down" period was to select a replacement nickname for the Fighting Sioux. Perhaps that is why the "we are North Dakota" has stopped. However, the University hasn't completely dropped calling themselves North Dakota in its marketing efforts so there is not the propaganda you hope is there.

Like the Roughrider state? Naming a state university after a state nickname, there is an idea.

Being North Dakota is not unique. It's a state name. "We are one, we are North Dakota" should be used by the state tourism agency.

Depth is a huge concern with the altitude. UND may have more talent starting than it had last season but we are not two deep at a lot of positions yet. Bohl and company are also familiar with the 3-4 scheme they will be seeing and will have their troops prepared.

Reading the last few pages I don't think its clear that everyone understands the FSU has permission from the Seminole tribe.

I'd say both schools, UND and NDSU have come a long ways in regards to exposure. NDSU football gets great coverage regionally having all games on statewide NBC. UND has done a better job at getting coverage to all of its core sports (men's and women's) over the last few years.

They have also worn green jerseys with black pants which I am a bigger fan of than the green on white.

The grey throwbacks would be a cool alternative jersey to have. My only complaint with the new jerseys, and someone mentioned it earlier, is I would like to see the green pants. I'm not a huge fan of the green jersey/white pants in the picture. I wish we would have stuck with the green jersey/black pant combo.

So what is your idea of a nickname. Its easy to blast the process, what is your solution? What nickname would have had to come out of the process to make you happy?

Why would Standing Rock or Spirit Lake be involved with selecting a new nickname? I think what you are seeing is a portion of that group wants to retain the old logo and does not care about what may be best for the university and the other portion (who voted to change the name) will want any other name selected. I don't even know if the reservations will get a vote if the nickname is put to an election unless you are an alum.

They have as many recent national titles as "all the other sports."

So what is your idea for an acceptable replacement name?

The O line play the last few years hasn't been good enough for me to form a fair opinion on either guy. They have looked good at times, bad at times all while having to dodge oncoming pass rushers consistently. Key to the offense this season is O-line play.

Have you been paying attention to Cecil the Lion? Not governed by the NCAA but equally as bad. There is plenty of blame to go around on this. NCAA, UND leadership, Standing Rock leadership, etc. it's been going on for years so if you are offended by animal nicknames you better start the petition now.

Stockwell has to get healthy. His luck with injuries has been terrible. Either way we are going into next season with inexperience at the LT spot.
