  1. Rhame had the same thing as above but also had 3 half court lines. One was a ten second line and after that was crossed your half court violation moved back to near the other free throw line.

Tough gym to play in and they were also a Region 8 team that had some outstanding teams in the 90s.

  2. Oh-oh, noticed Iwarri Smith is now following some NDSU coaches.

A PWO to Oregon will get a kid some attention. Good to see our coaches are evaluating the right talent getting in early with him in the process.

    Still an exciting month ahead.

  3. Don't remember where I heard it... Some coach took phones, iPods, etc away from their players on road trips (and other team times?) to 'force' the players to interact with each other and become more team-oriented. Actually sounds like a good way to handle the exclusiveness of today's social media and its impact on building a team-focused team.

    One of our coaches?!

  4. From Iwarri Smith's twitter (posted 2 hrs ago)...

Also made a comment that he had not committed anywhere yet, but will soon...

He would be a welcome addition to this recruiting class.

  5. The FBS being referenced is the future 2nd tier of college football. Articles on that have been referenced many times on here from ADs across the country. No different than where we are today. It is no stretch to expect all 4 Dakota schools to find a way to get to that level. I expect UND to be there and I really don't care what the other 3 do.

Where I believe people get worked up is when they take a move to FBS as the current FBS. Some form of separation by P5 is in the future as the strength of schedule was such a big deal this year along with some further conference shuffling.

  6. Need to get back to the team ball we played early in the year vs. SDSU. Nash has to do more than camp out at the 3 pt. line. Drive, mid range jumpers, anything besides stand around.

Frustrating thing right now is we do nothing to force another teams bigs to play D. They score on offense and run down the court and stand either under the hoop or at the three point line.

Also I feel that Cashman needs minutes. If we aren't redshirting him, don't waste this season.

  7. I originally misunderstood it. It wasn't Bradley, it was Todd Wash, Jacksonville's Defensive Line coach and former NDSU assistant coach. I also saw that a poster that is normally pretty reputable on NDSU stuff had a comment that this is by no means the first time its happened.

It would be a lot harder to prove this isn't a frequent thing at FU than to prove it was a one time occurrence. Also, are the phone calls only taking place to congratulate recruits or are there recruiting calls being made by Coach Walsh?

  8. 5 days left of this dead period.

Looking at the wiki page, there are some very athletic LBs that still hold offers along with two good looking WRs.

I'd like to see a couple high school CBs and a safety added.

  9. I know I have put it on here before, last spring I was flying back from Tucson and the U of A hockey team was flying to Minot. I was sitting next to the head coach and he was saying a lot if the same things in the article. He was also confident at that time that U of A would field a D1 hockey team before ASU. That didn't happen but I imagine they will be one of the next PAC teams to announce the moves.

  10. We wanted to get back to recruiting upper Midwest. So far we have 4 of the top 30 in Minnesota + Lawerence and Santiago, 2 of the top 10 in Canada, and some of the top North Dakota kids who fans at both schools think could be good players. I'd say the coaches are doing what they asked.

On a side note, a former FU player who now coaches at Moorhead is very disappointed Lawerence is coming to Grand Forks. Feels he will be a steal in this class and was in FUs ear to offer the kid.

  11. The only fan base I know that has a perpetual inferiority complex and a whole lot of jealousy is this one. As far name calling I Hardly think yours is exempt. Hell you guys get into more problems with the Sioux name than anyone. As far as the idiots that come over here and brag about recruiting - well take it will a grain of salt. We'll only know in a couple of years won't we?

And the Washington redskins have more problems with their nickname than anyone. The fighting Illini more problems with theirs. Etc, etc. what's your point?

  12. What is the president of NDSU supposed to do about a crime that takes place several blocks away from campus?

He was asked about campus safety 3 months ago when the other student was murdered, declined comment.

I've talked with parents of students who are still trying to get questions answered about how the school is addressing campus security and have not received answers to their questions.

I'd say both fall on the campus president.

  13. So if a guy doesn't start in the NFL he sucks in college? That's just rich. You need to stick to your hockey team and out of football logic.

Also, a QB needs WR's that can get seperation before they can star picking apart defenses. He does pretty good for a guy who's started 14 games of whatever.

You are arguing with one of your own. Johnboy is a FU grad and you disagree with his football logic because sometimes he posts without green/gold glasses on

  14. And you are probably one of the UND supporters that were trumpeting how Bubba was going to build the program the right way, with Upper Midwest High School kid. What happened?

Further explain. Again, don't let your obsession with UND get in the way of facts.

  15. Are UND coaches and fans so desperate for players that they want a kid allegedly involved in a point shaving scandal?

Are you so worried about UND that you are already tearing down a kid who hasn't even signed here?

The odds of him signing here may be small but regardless, the only source of those allegations was a bookie and nothing could be proven.

Your concern with UND football is becoming an obsession.
