Shay tired of working for the peanuts paid out by North Dakotas flag ship University
Faison has shown if a coach or staff earns a bump in pay, he'll provide it. Just like the real world, you don't get a bump in pay without results.

At least two 2014-2015 UND MBB juniors will not be playing their senior season at UND in 2015-2016.
With UND confirming Shields and Coleman leaving, still sticking to this?
-
Dickinson St went from the Savages to the Blue Hawks so there's that.
-
Any additional motivation is there for the boys if needed:
Game 1- playing Boston with the best player in the country in their backyard
Game 2- "potentially" helping your head coach get the monkey off his back and "potentially" playing a rival for #8 or Playing this years Cinderella and a team who will be looking forward to playing UND at full strength.
Its going to be a fun week and a half leading up to the games.

Never count this group out. Something a LOT of posters did all week and every other chance they had after a loss.
I think people questioned where they were at after a below average performance last weekend. Listening to comments from Hak and the players, I don't think evaluations of the weekend were too far off.
Most said if that play continued it would be one and done, obviously they prepared much different this week and it showed.

Whole teams sick!
Did you read the two pages before to figure it out

Wait - DU should actually be UD?
Mind. Blown.
Or should it university of Denver- Colorado?

Other than the fact that GV is DII, have no intention of moving, and would require 5 years to transition . . . Ya perfect. GV owns und, so that would be another reason for und to stay out of the SL/MVFC.
Grand Valley and UND consistently met in the playoffs when UND and FU were DII. I understand FU not being familiar with GV.

I was surprised they kept referring to our opponent as Quinipiac and not Conneticut.

Very impressed with the overall effort and execution, which has overcome the very inconsistent officiating.
This^^^^
I made some comments after last weekend, the effort tonight is a complete 180. Fun to watch. Time to finish and build momentum for tomorrow night.

Michigan Tech is out of tickets.

Well a scholarship appears to have opened up. Who's it gonna be? I'm all in on Brady Ernst as people may be able to tell.
Ernst held 5 D1 offers, any speculation why he didn't sign anywhere?

Is Steffan one of them?

Anyone else know someone with tickets to a suite for next weekend? I know a couple people who paid just below or at $1000 for the 3 games and one suite with 20 tickets went for $1000 per seat.

For those interested Brad Heidelbaugh is playing in the Class B tourney this weekend. He'll be on TV tonight and has a good chance of winning Mr. Basketball this year. Tanner Bernhardt is another impressive athlete for Rugby and I heard UND was talking with him. Anyone know where he is going?
The most impressive athlete I saw yesterday was Anthony Olson from Lamoure. I mentioned him before but I do not know how this kid slipped by UND and NDSU. I hadn't seen him play BBall since his sophomore year and he has got to be one of the best athletes in the state this year and maybe even the last couple of years. Check out the alley opp dunk the 5'11 kid threw down yesterday. He was grabbing rebounds surrounded by 6'4, 6'3 and 6'7 kids yesterday. Good job by Coach Dosch at getting him to Northern.
Heidelbach looked pretty impressive tonight. Hard to believe there is a better athlete in the tournament. Also have to believe he wins Mr. Basketball

Pretty weak effort today. Disappointing. Not a championship effort.

Only short sighted people would judge the success of a conference based upon the first 2 years of the conference tournament. It's not a tradition to anyone yet, it's new. But in the league's first year it produced 2 of the 4 #1 seeds which was a pretty good start.
So in 5 years if you increase attendance by 20% year over year there will be 8500 fans. Gotta have goals.
-
NDSU was a 12 last year, settle down
So what your saying is some years the Summit is better than others and the conferences vary from year to year. Different argument than last year.

EWU ended up with a 13 seed, playing Georgetown
Wouldn't want to play them as 13. Don't know much about G'town but EWU will give them a game.

Bluecollar4 was the only one making sense. He made the error of saying UND is not D1 but he was talking about major sports.
UND is D1 in all sports.

No. 2 Eastern Washington 91, No. 7 Idaho 83
No. 3 Sacramento State 70, No. 6 Portland State 60
No. 4 Northern Arizona 63,No. 5 Northern Colorado 57
No. 1 Montana 76, No. 8 Weber State 73, OT
Top 4 seeds advance. Tonight should be a couple good match ups. Sac. St. beat EWU during the regular season and Northern Arizona may be playing the best basketball of anyone in the field right now.

The sponsor of the bill said its was perfectly legal what ndsu did. It was the piss ant whining that UND did that screwed everyone.
Where was that said? I didn't see it in the article.
I did hear the mighty 790 KFGO talk about it on all the talk shows last week. Your familiar with that one, the home of the bison. I do t think you need to look any further than the city limits of Fargo if you want to point fingers.
I'll sit back and wait for that link

Nice early season win.

Vikes got a first round pick for an injured Percy Harvin. AP is old (in regards to football) but he still has a few years left in the tank and teams that are a running back away know it. Who wants to win now?
From the Cowboys perspective, Romo is getting older, Dez Bryant is a video tape away from being suspended for a season himself. Jones is a business man and knows that you pay to win when your close, no use waiting until tomorrow. Also, as a business man, Peterson puts butts in the seats of any team he goes to.
If the Vikes hold strong on this, someone is going to give a first round pick. Don't sell cheap and don't fall for his agents game of causing a scene to get him released.

Again, I will wait to judge what our program is willing to pay when our current staff earns a salary increase or our current staff is replaced. Right now we don't just pay more to the current staff because everyone else is doing it.
