  1. What time is the press conference to announce a "Director of Recruiting for any Women's Sport or any sport other than football" scheduled in Fargo?
  2. Don't worry, they have a survey that says that is acceptable.
  3. If you listened to Faison yesterday he said their rough estimate right now is around $725,000 for next year but they are still looking at the numbers. I'm guessing this is tied to the "re prioritizing sports" that he mentioned as well. Also, when your AD was on the radio he estimated $600,00-$700,000 for NDSU FCOA. From the sounds of it, both are still trying to pinpoint the exact final number. The bitterness of FU fans on this is almost as great as the announcement itself.
  4. UND's offense is a huge question mark. Not real sure what we are going to see.
  5. Champion Club increases will be the #1 funding source. The Midco contract is up after the 2016-2017 season and it pays $250,000 next year which is the max of the 5 year deal. What does the next TV contract look like? How much money is generated from that deal?
  6. I don't see baseball being cut.
  7. If UND drops a couple sports, it won't be in a bad position to move itself to a second level of FBS. Depending on what the conference would look like, it could do us a favor in regards to travel budget, attendance, etc. and be more of a money generator.
  8. You take away a couple sports (coaching salaries, travel expenses, scholarships and misc. expenses), UND could cover a good portion of the $721,000 pretty easily.
  9. Faison will be on McFeely show in a couple minutes to discuss. Good to see Mike get him on in short notice.
  10. Nice work BF. This is a big step that shows commitment to our athletic programs.
  11. I think any FBS team would do that to an FCS team. Fans aren't coming there to see a FBS team win by 14 points.
  12. Great write up by the Sioux Football guys with help from Chad Smith of WyoNation.com. Good read. Looking forward to Saturday. http://siouxfb.areavoices.com/2015/09/02/q-a-with-wyonation/
  13. Its setting UND or any team up for excuses if Wentz plays gets tackled low and gets hurt. The dirty football and targeting talk will be flying even if its on a legal play. I also do not think Wentz misses any time. He rests this week and is back for Weber St. and all this is a non issue.
  14. But ankle tackles do happen and are legal correct? Its part of the game?
  15. I'm guessing every player on that field will have the same goal in mind.
  16. It took these posts to get you to hope your starting QB is healthy and plays really well? Wow.
  17. I hope the UND is in position multiple times throughout the game to determine exactly how they are going to tackle Carson Wentz and what ankle to attack. In reality, at game speed a player is not going care how he brings a player down, he is just going to bring them down. What is known is right now Carson Wentz has an injured ankle. Nobody knows how bad it truely is and I suspect he will be playing in two weeks. I don't think it is a month long injury and a coach would never tell anyone if it was. If it is that bad where there is such a severe risk of further injury, he better stay on the bench.
  18. Again, two hand touch is what is acceptable or is it only tackle above the waist ? I see it now, when Wentz plays if any tackle is made below the waste the Bison faithful will be claiming targeting and it was a cheap shot. Even though actually tackling below the waist is legal. If your scared of him re-injuring it, he better stay on the sidelines.
  19. LOL at this post. When does the memo go out that it is two hand touch on the Bison QB the rest of the season?
  20. I did not leave that game overly impressed with Montana's QB. He left points and yards on the field by missing some throws a college QB should make. He also got hurt by some drops. It will be interesting to see how that offense does the rest of the season. I think NDSU was caught off guard by how talented/athletic Montana's WR's were. They are good but a lot of teams in the Big Sky have one or two that are as good or better. It is a position of strength in this conference. Defensively, Montana was similar to what they have been in the past a very athletic LB group and secondary. Coming into the game I didn't think they would match up well up front but they held their own in passing situations. It will be interesting to see how they do vs. Cal Poly. All in all- it was two good teams who will get better. It was a fun game to watch and it got me excited for this coming Saturday.
  21. I didn't expect any discipline from FU on this regardless of what the tape showed. In this situation, some discussion is warranted, suspension unlikely. The ironic thing with this is the FU fans here and in their board talking about the likely cheap shots during our upcoming game because Bubba "won't be able to control his players".
  22. will be interesting to see how that is handled in Fargo? You can't have players laying a hand on fans no matter what was said. Which Fargo journalist will ask the hard hitting questions? Has Morlock already suffered enough?
  23. wow, similar to the Oregon player a few years back. Not good. Will be interesting to see what happened/happens.
  24. when is NDSU starting that again?
