If the stats on BigSkyConf.com are correct, Ratelle is one tackle shy of 100 for the season again this year. Should easily pass that this weekend and should finish closer to 120 for the regular season as I could see him near 20 for the game on Saturday.

Defense has to keep them out of 3rd and short. The last few times we have played when we've got them to third down, it has been 3rd and 2 or 3. I'm hoping this years defense does a better job and can't pick against the team this week. UND- 38 Cal-Poly- 24

The thing I am excited about regarding our o-line is we have two bookend tackles for the next two seasons after this one along with Cox at one position in the middle. That is two more years of not as much uncertainty regarding our OL that has been such a question the last few seasons.
-
we had two opportunities to do that with different opponents this season.

Bubba on WDAY 970 AM right now with McFeeley

Looking forward to Saturday. Its going to be a fun day to follow scores until our kickoff that evening.

Who is going to be next to come out of the wood work after the announcement?
-
that guy is awesome. He had about 3 Northern Colorado players ready to jump into the bleachers last weekend. Two of them had to be held back.
-
after Oliveria got injured when we were up 35 Bubba started to rest some of the offense. Santiago was one of them and sat from near the end of the second quarter on (minus two special teams plays).
-
it depends how high the ceiling is on their stadium.
-
I did a quick count of those rankings and 14 teams ranked ahead of UND can only finish with 6 D1 wins. Those are the ones I know without digging too deep. Plus Cal Poly will likely be ranked ahead of us next week. Just win.
-
if your competitive you want your share of all the carries.
-
that is true but I don't know if a 5th place team in the conference gets in. Our best bet, assuming we win is Montana and EWU losing. Both are realistic.
-
I don't see the Big Sky getting 5 in. If all those things above happen, UND likely is the odd team out.
-
it will be an interesting week. For sure the loser between SUI and NAU is done.
-
I'm not sure how many but there are teams ahead of UND that lost or are sitting with 6 wins as well. Today's win also won't hurt. Beat Cal Poly next week is all UND can control
-
Very quick. Good athlete. I wish Feeney was not committed to Missouri.
-
Heavy dose of Oliveria and Santiago. UND- 27 UNC- 17
-
did they give any indication on where they are at with fund raising for Phase 2?
-
I don't think there is one team that is "in" right now. NAU and SUU have D2 wins and I think need a win or two (in NAU case) to guarantee anything. EWU has a couple games that are far from guarantee Ws Montana plays Mont St yet and that is about all that all MSU had left to make their season Portland St is in a position they have only been in one time all season and still needs one more win UND is in an OK spot but their playoffs actually started two weeks ago
-
nearly everyone one that list plays each other the last two weeks. UND needs to focus on themselves and win two. They do that and they will be sitting ok after the next two weeks.

I feel UND football has not been very relevant to Grand Forks and the state of North Dakota the last 10 years. A home football game likely gets televised and gets a little more media coverage statewide than going on the road. Also, football at home that weekend would be the only sport in town so even though attendance may be down compared to round 2 or 3 of the playoffs, I think the casual sports fan may come to check it out. Plus, playing at home increases the chances of winning. That may get another playoff game on TV and more exposure. Winning a playoff game (or two) will only build interest and potentially increase season ticket sales next season.

I think people are just tired of this process. Each decision has led to a follow up announcement the following week by UND "leadership". Myself personally, I couldn't vote Monday and it slipped my mind until I saw this thread again. If the administration has wanted to wear everyone down with this process, they won. I'm ready for it to be over. Unfortunately when the name is announced, I know it won't be the end.

I find it hard to believe the NC$$ would look at anything besides the bid they receive. Another reason attendance appears poor first round games is the NCAA also takes a percentage of gate. Big benefit in under reporting butts in seats. It is however the most poorly attended of all playoff weekends but I still think Faison has to put all his chips in. He may lose money this year but it will pay off in early season games next year.
