Hard to pick against NDSU (playing at home) and UNI (hottest team in FCS) but I found this quote from lakes on the UNI message board pretty entertaining.
Here is the Dorgan's letter to the editor for those who may not have seen it. http://www.inforum.com/letters/3893311-letter-major-research-opportunity-lost-ndsu-north-dakota
Hey, if the rally cry for the rest of the season is "win for Jones" than so be it. I would expect them to be competitive from here on out. The 40 point loss I saw on Saturday wasn't the best start.
I will always root for the team and the players. I enjoy watching them and believe they are very talented. I have a hard time cheering for a coach who throws those same players under the bus.
They may not care about this thread but the declining attendance as the season goes along will get their attention. Home games by the end of the year may be like watching the Youngstown game at the Florida tournament a few weeks ago. Glorified scrimmage.
compare that response in a difficult situation to the one below. http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-football/3889465-und-football-big-sky-dumbfounded-fcs-playoff-picks
polisek has went back to pounding the ball instead of trying to showcase Wentz. The FU offense is clicking. Not sure if Stick has to make those throws.
I'm changing the subject. Thoughts on Portland St vs UNI? UNI is probably the hottest team in FCS right now. Most impressive team from yesterday I thought (although their opponent sucked). Portland St. has a chance to keep this season going. I think UNI will be surprised with how athletic PSUs QB is.
where is the quote that UND would beat every team that played today? i also said he is their best option. UNDs problem against Montana was failure to finish plays by players in position. The Montana QB was playing 500 and throwing it up for grabs.
agreed. To not take any credit as a coach when you get run off the court in the first 10 minutes is chicken !@#$. He has to go. It's embarrassing. Lots of very good D2 coaches in the area looking for an opportunity.
they won the conference due to taking advantage of a great conference schedule. Not sold on Montana's starting QB. He wasn't impressive week 1 vs the Bison and he wasn't real impressive today. He is their best option at that position though
arguing the irony of NDSU fans taking the time to come to this board telling is our FBS win this year doesn't count for anything based on record of opponent.
