Is forming a group another way to say forming a committee? I assume this committee will give a recommendation to the president. I am guessing they will also be served drinks and maybe some food at a meeting or two. Sounds like a committee, money being spent and a recomendation of a decision to the president to me.

Disagree. The FU fans were waiting for the MT game before ESPN was involved. Next years EWU game will get hyped as well. You also can't compare non conference to conference games. Not as much at stake.

Thank you but why let facts get in the way of a good argument. The funniest thing is the athletic dept used getting student funds to the level of other area schools as a reason to raise them. No one called them out that they are already paying more student funds than area schools.

Don't worry, we can always use the third prong survey vs actually offering opportunity. Or does that only work if done in Fargo. Apparently women don't want to play sports anyway.

He has to pass the same amount of credits as others to be eligible. He also won't be handed a spot when/if he returns.

If it is true that he wanted to focus on his family, that speaks volumes of his character. Its also great news that he is coming back as he is a tremendous amount of talent that could open doors for him in the future if he avoids injury and improves as expected by getting stronger and more agile. Good thing all the way around if true.

You mean offer FCOA? We did this last recruiting session and it didn't seem to be an issue. Using your logic NDSU and UND both followed Liberty. They were the trailblazers for the rest of us.

I'd say in one bid leagues the RPI of the team that wins the conference tourney is more important than the RPI of the league. Two additional conference games for the Big Sky takes away opportunity to schedule valuable non conference games to help with RPI. The conference could still help itself out by winning a few more nonconference.

I think the league is getting better as the year has gone along. Teams near the middle are getting back key players (see Portland St./Sac St./Idaho) and a team like EWU learned how to play without Harvey from last season and a team like UND had to gain experience. The two usual teams were up top all season in Weber and Montana. The upsets in the tournament won't be because the league is down, it will be because the middle teams have just gotten better and lost games early.

It depends if its a 50 point quality loss.

I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day. UND had no business winning this game shooting as poorly as they did. Their best player stepped up and carried them when he had to.

That is a big win for the season. Hopefully the only time we see Portland St. this season. They have a very good lineup and some real solid athletes.
