On the way back to Fargo. Fun game to watch and good crowd. Again, props to the administration to put the money in to showcase this young, talented team one more time at home. A few thoughts: The team got better from this game. That was a good team we got the opportunity to play. Crandall is freakishly athletic. Some of the plays he made tonight were ridiculous to watch. Best game from Shanks this year. His role may be coming off the bench. He just looked and played more relaxed against the 2nd best interior team he saw this year. McBuckets 2.0 basketball IQ is high. IMO, Seales will be our most improved player next year. With a little muscle and a little more work on his midrange jumper he will be a tough matchup at the 3. Glad we have Hooker another year. Not his best game tonight but he is the player we can market this program around this offseason and build excitement around. Shoot a decent percentage from the line in regulation, we win the game.

You apparently cared enough to wait until the game was over to post.

Maybe it's just an obsession right Dan.

The Big Sky regular season champion won the conference tournament. Don't kid yourself Dan, thats the only reason IPFW was there. At least I think they showed up.

Here is the podcast for those who would like a listen: http://www.wday.com/radio/3988217-970-wday-demand-mark-kennedy-mike-mcfeely-show

This ^^^^^^^^. I'm waiting for the podcast to become available so others can listen and give there thoughts but man, it was a poor interview and Kennedy did a good job not taking any of the bait. I just really find it funny that nothing UND does can be brought up by the Fargo media without a mention of NDSU.
-
Kennedy was just on the McFeely show. Mike tried to get Kennedy to put his foot in his mouth multiple times regarding enrollment targets, flying business or coach, hockey vs. football and others but the new president handled himself very well. I live in Fargo and I don't always realize it but McFeely and other Bison fans really feel threatened by UND. There is no way that Mike would ask those questions to Brescanni.

Someone forgot to tell the NIT field how high the Summit's RPI was.
-
I hope you are able to find time to relax before the game this week so you can enjoy it. Does Maryland know SDSU's RPI?
-
Props to the athletic dept getting two postseason home games for basketball

Solid opponent to bring into the Betty.

Man you are really jealous of UND having two players nominated for this. It's really funny. Were you this up in arms about your buffalo being nominated for mascot of the year a few years back?
-
I won't disagree. You are taking the comment out of context though. Try reading.

We offer women's scholarships? We offer more sports than NDSU? Stop me if I'm getting close

Taking Weber to the limit in OT isn't pretty good?
-
They won two games in their conference tourney. Preseaon #2
-
Sure. Go with that

I think Jones earned another year. I'd be for bringing him back with the expectations laid out.
-
This has nothing to do with setting standards. I've spoken with a few close to the program and NDSU has some injuries and locker room issues. The coaches decided it's best to shut the season down. Money could be an issue but that was not mentioned.

Big Sky Semis: #1 Weber vs #5 UND (3/11 7:35)

I know it's tough to call a foul at that time but there could have been a call on the offensive rebound attempt. -

I thought last night was one of Crandalls best overall games. He was aggressive and made plays for our offense. On the last play of regulation, it was a good look. Can't ask for a better shot. I remember a two game stretch earlier this year where people were on Jones because we gave the ball to Hooker on consecutive last shots. The play was fine, just have to make the shot. -

I thought that was one of Shanks better outings since he has been here. He also played pretty well defensively. The missed shot hurt at the end obviously but he was had a good game otherwise tonight. -

Frustrated for the team. Excited for next year. This one needs to leave a sour taste in their mouths. -

That one was tough. Fun game to watch. We missed plenty of opportunities. Officiating was terrible. I sense a small rivalry starting with Weber in hoops.
