This isn't an airplane... You can't just oversell the seats. Student tickets are not currently standing room only tickets therefore you can only sell how many seats are available. Now if you wanted to create standing room only tickets for the catwalks then go for it, but that is a completely separate thing. Your issue is with student tickets not being used, not not being scanned (meaning the student was at the game but their ticket wasn't scanned). You can't force anyone to go to the game instead of just tailgating. Just like you can't force them to stay past halftime or the third quarter. Just hope the team keeps doing well and the problem will solve itself.

I can't believe that people complain about having to tell their buddies where they are tailgating at... It really isn't that difficult. Although normally I'd just arrive with the people I am tailgating with. Send a group text message... Bam, problem solved. Get a super tall flag, problem solved. Make new friends.

What about the people coming from out of town or who have kids activities before hand? They already paid for their tailgating spot and can't use it because the team wants to parade through? That's why it should be unassigned parking spots and assigned parking lots. If they're last to get there they tailgate at the back. Nobody is driving through the crowded parking lot.

I feel like the negative one here but say you do get Joe Frat Boy in the door... Then you guys will just complain when he leaves at halftime because he doesn't actually care about football. I'd much rather have the students who picked up their tickets two weeks in advance and a smaller student section than fair weather fans who know nothing about the team or game.

Why not just go to the student Union and pick up your football ticket in the two weeks prior to the game that they are available? No lines, no leaving tailgating...

Hmmm when I was in school it was kelly green and prairie rose pink as the official colors... Wonder when that changed?
