  1. Would there be a spot open for a mobile, hulking defenseman who is a potential first round NHL draft pick? Nope, no chance!
  2. Reciting facts is not talking smack. IR's numbers last year weren't good - FACT! It doesn't matter that the Dogs seniors gave up, UMD still finished just a hair behind UND (3 points) in the league race - FACT and then got absolutely destroyed during the WCHA first round - FACT. IR was a sieve in that series - FACT. AND he got pulled in both games - FACT. Hey, if you think a save percentage under .900 and a GAA over 3.00 is pretty darned good as RW77 said, then more power to you. IR can be a good goalie but he wasn't last year. As for the 2004 team, that was Junior's, not Isaac's!!! Normally, I would be pissed when someone calls me stupid, but then I considered the source. As for Parise, say what you want, but his 2.13 GAA and .917 save% last season are considerably better, numberswise, then IR's in 2004 (2.64 GAA and .909 save %) but hey, again, don't let facts get in your way. If you want do any more name-calling, why don't you save the other members of this board the lesson in immaturity and drop me a PM - I will be waiting on pins and needles.
  3. Where he gave up four goals to a very low scoring DU squad (yes the Pios did go on to win the championship), with 3 goals on 12 shots being scored by DU in the third - yeah, I remember, great performance, eh? btw, I didn't say he was terrible, I just provided some stats that show, with regard to last season anyway, he really hasn't been that good.
  4. Not the best numbers last year (courtesy USCHO): Isaac Reichmuth, Jr 27 9 12 4 74 1456 3.05GAA 0 637 .896% Let's not forget 4 GA on 14 shots (before getting pulled) during this past WCHA first round Friday night 8-2 UND buttkicking and the 4 GA on 14 shots in the second period on Saturday night before again getting pulled in a 6-1 UMD loss. I am assuming you are thinking of other games when he looked "pretty darned good?"
  5. From reading RW77's posts?
  6. You are kidding, right? Second in the nation?? I am sure it is a great basketball arena, but when the scoreboard shows total fouls, not shots on goal, and you have to look at the light ring to find the penalties you know you aren't sitting in a hockey arena. There are much better hockey arenas in the WCHA alone. . . . perhaps even in the CHA!
  7. Brian Lee to wear #22 for UND:
  8. As long as it is scored during a loss, that will be fine with me.
  9. I agree that there will be huge pressure on the freshmen D, but I feel that the most pressure will likely be on Smaby as the defensive leader (assuming Greene leaves). He will have to carry a large burden and skate A LOT of minutes and he will need to be the go-to guy back there. That will be a lot of pressure for someone who, although he played well as the season progressed, was arguably the fifth d-man last year behind AS, NF, MJ and Greene.
  10. As it relates to former Sioux players, this seems to be more of a rule than an exception. Of the 60 or so former players that have played at least one game in the NHL only 15 or so have played their entire career for only one team and in those situations it has usually been a very short NHL career. For former Sioux making the big league, the average number of teams played for is around 2.8, but there are guys like Hrkac with NINE teams and Dennis Hextall and Dixon Ward with SIX teams and Troy Murray and Garry Valk with FIVE teams. Considering Commodore never played an official game with Anaheim and has yet to lace them up with Carolina, he is under the average with only two teams played for.
  11. BD was not resigned by Lowell prior to the '04-05 season and spent last year playing overseas!
  12. RB says the same thing everytime one of his players leaves early. I can see his position, but don't understand why he publicly whines about it whenever one of his players makes an early jump?
  13. That would make sense considering he never played a regular season game for the NHL Ducks. He did, however, dress for the Ducks during the '02-03 preseason, but I don't recall the number of games.
  14. Lee invited to NHL draft (Forum article).
  15. According to today's Forum, [url="http://www.in-forum.com/articles/index.cfm?id=98275
  16. In today's Sports Forum from the Fargo Forum, there is a short article about Tysen Dowzak (sorry I cannot find a link). Anyway, of relevance:

  18. It is Travis Zajac, #15.
  19. It would seem that you are correct. Although I cannot find a link, there was an article in today's Forum regarding his signing. Of note:
  20. Are you telling me he bypassed college for $1,000.00? Wow, that is hard to believe!
