We need blue chippers - Imagine our title run without Boeser. Also it is hard to understand how with this team getting their butts handed to them on Friday we then come out with our Saturday performance. Something is missing from Berry's team and it looks a lot like grit. It doesn't even look like the same team - especially on defense - that swept Denver. How did our D get so sloppy all of a sudden - especially with an extra week to heal?

We used to mock the Gophers for this very thing - win the Big 10 and flame out at tourney time. Now this is us.

Berry needs to seriously evaluate why he can't get his team ready for the second half of the season - especially down the stretch. A week off and this is what we get?

That 5 am flight you have to take from GF to get anywhere is brutal - that's the main problem.

In my opinion the “good old boys club” isn’t a well organized group with regular meetings and minutes. In Bubba’s case it was a group of older former athletes who knew Bubba and supporters anchored by Bubba’s family. They absolutely lobbied hard for Bubba’s hire. I know that they talked to many people about supporting Bubba (which is their right) . I can’t speak to how much sway they held with the AD but look at the results. And a big selling point was that he is UND family and bleeds Sioux green.

Kalen didn't have the old school group of Bubba supporters lobbying hard for him - they had influence with the administration. This disaster is mostly on them.

I really believe that this illustrates the reason that we get so many of what many feel are repetitive complaints on this board. We get absolutely nothing from the AD and only schucky darn from Bubba. Never an honest assessment of where we are and what we are doing to correct things. Many including me feel that no one is listening and worse no one is taking steps to change what we have seen over the past 10 years.

I'm frustrated too - But I don't blame Bubba as much as the AD - Bubba is always going to be Bubba. To extend him after a 5-6 season shows how much the Athletic Department values excellence. We have had weak leadership from the AD and the UND administration for far too long. Overall this is as low as I have seen the overall athletic programs.

With the failure of Berry and Co. to right our obvious weaknesses going back as least as far as last year it makes you wonder. How in the hell are Colorado College and the 18 and under team better than us 3 on 3?

This is strangely similar to last year in that they had problems that lasted for the whole year (defense all in the corner for example) and no adjustments could fix it. The last 4 games worry me. We had a long break to change and now the exact same thing.

Berry and Co. have some serious work to do - I was hoping it was started over Christmas break but it doesn't look like it. How can we be this bad at 3 on 3?

After watching Danny in action this year if he is the best idea we have to replace Bubba we are in trouble.

With every Bison victory I become increasingly frustrated with Bubba and Company and their total inability to build off the Bison victory while our rivals got it together and went on a run. Our coaching failures on display once again.

The sound was so bad the first couple of games I considered letting my tickets go -extremely loud crap not only during breaks but in between every play. I had a guest who could hardly stand it. They seemed to have toned it down a bit later and actually played some songs that fired up the crowd.

He'd instill a defense to stop the 2 yard pass - the most dangerous play in football.

What have you seen from Bubba that makes you think we will have a different offensive gameplan?

Exactly - but we know that the coach's job is never on the line when you can get renewed at 5-6. Absolutely no demand for excellence - just shucky darn we have to play better. Every time the Bison get closer to the playoff finals I get real irritated that Bubba took a classic victory and turned it into crap in one game while the Bison took a humiliating defeat and upped their game. Absolutely no excuse for this (and no consequences).

In my opinion the biggest problem at the GF airport is the absolutely brutal schedule Delta has in order to make any connection in Minneapolis. It seems like you must take the 5:00 AM flight which means getting up at 3-3:30 AM - a hell of a way to start a business trip or vacation. People who live outside of the GF area must get up earlier. For some of us that means only 3-4 hours of fitful sleep. And by far the most common return time is around midnight. A western hub would also be useful.

After watching Danny's offensive strategy this year if he is the best candidate we are in trouble.

It's good that Bubba is taking a hard look at talent - agree with the wait and see though. However, will he take the same hard look at coaching? Game preparation, ability to motivate (the drop after the Bison game is stunning), game management, clock management, offensive play calling and philosophy, defensive scheme, 3rd down play, the chart he uses for 2 point conversions, I could go on. Because unless these are evaluated we will get more of the same. His 10 year history shows change is glacial.

How many Bees did it cost to view the game?

A little bit chicken/egg argument as to if it's coaching or talent - a bit of both with the understanding that coaches recruit talent. But we sure aren't getting the best out of the talent we have. After the SU game I thought wow - Bubba finally turned the corner. Wrong. The regression from that game was stunning. What kind of staff can't build off of that victory? Looking back the Dancing Bubba video almost seems like a cruel joke.
