So what is the timeline for the Senate? When will they likely be debating and voting on this?

A-M-E-N!

Wow, that's amazing. I wonder if the Atlanta would take Chara, Thomas and Krejci so the Bruins could get Wheeler back and then see if the Leafs would take back Kaberle along with Bergeron, Seguin and Marchand for Kessel.

I grew up close to Josh Jones - great guy and great family. Thoughts and prayers for his son, Nick.

Done deal. Bruins acquire Tomas Kaberle Bruins Acquire Kaberle from Toronto B's Acquire Peverley, Valabik from Atlanta Not sure I like the fact that they got rid of Mark Stuart - I liked him in the Black and Gold...but when he went out with an injury earlier in the season, Kampfer stepped in and played great, which I suppose made him expendable. Once Stuart came back they had a logjam - now that they got Kaberle I'm not sure it clears up that logjam any! They have 7 quality D who can all play: Boychuk Chara Ference Kampfer McQuaid Seidenberg Stuart Kaberle

I can't wait to see how this turns out. Reports: Bruins acquire Tomas Kaberle The Bruins look like they've acquired Tomas Kaberle for Joe Colborne, a 1st rounder this year and a future conditional pick. They've also traded Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart to Atlanta for Rich Peverly and defenseman Boris Valabik. I believe Kaberle's contract is up this season, so I hope this doesn't come back to bite the Bruins. I always laugh at teams that do the "rent a player" for a couple months and then have nothing to show for it after the season ends, as it almost never works out. Either win it this year with him, or make sure he'll re-sign in Boston after this! I don't know much about Peverly, but hope he fits in nicely, as the Bruins have been having a good season. I haven't missed hardly any Bruins games this year thanks to my DVR, and they are a fun team to watch. Seem to have good chemistry and a good mix of talent and sandpaper. Wheeler's gone - whew! I'm a Bruins fan to the core, so when they had Kessel and Wheeler I wanted them to do well, but now that they're gone I'm rejoicing. GOOD RIDDANCE!

Any EDC scoring updates?

So what, exactly, does this mean? What is a 10-5 do-pass recommendation from the House Education Committee? What are the next steps?
-
Sorry if this was stated somewhere already and I missed it, but a former player's son - Josh Archibald, has committed to Blais and UNO. Very interesting... Omaha Flash...

Horrible news: Boys hockey: Former Red River coach Matt Malm dies My prayers to the Malm family.

Obviously Mario has a lot of credibility in the world of hockey, and I'll be the first to admit that I don't always agree with or like Scott Burnside's writing, but this article was spot on. And in reading it, I don't think that Burnside completely disagrees with Mario on getting after the league a bit, having a good debate on fighting and discipline in the league, but the way Mario did it was terrible. Hard to argue the following points:

Good read in case you haven't seen it. Only 'failure' here is Lemieux's message

Spin from the hate mongers, eh? Dave, you're so classic. I suppose all these meanies that play for other teams and add no value to the game of hockey by fighting don't do any charity work. You find an article about Cooke reaching out and helping a kid in the Pittsburgh area and that somehow erases his on-ice character (or lack thereof). You don't think there are kids that love Georges Laraque, David Clarkson, Shawn Thornton, etc.? Don't get me wrong - it's great to see Cooke and other players doing this kind of work, but it doesn't change that he's a douschebag on the ice. Just like it's cool that you're a Sioux fan and all, but that doesn't change that you're a...ahhh, screw it...never mind.

So predictable. I saw that DaveK had a reply on this thread and knew EXACTLY what he was going to be commenting about. As a matter of fact, before reading his comments I could have almost told you word for word what he had typed.

Whew...when I checked on my phone it shows up on 617, so that should do the trick. Thanks everyone.
-
Argh...don't say that! When I go online to the DirecTV website it shows up on that damn Fuel channel 618, and nothing shows up on 617, so I can't record anything on 617. DAMMIT. Maybe I'll try on my phone.
-
At work and went online to set my DVR to record the game on DirecTV. It shows that it's on channel 618, is that correct? It's usually on either 617 or 625 - never seen it on 618 before and if this doesn't record it I'll be a very unhappy Sioux hockey fan. Thanks

Rep Damschen (from Bismark, I think?) was on Dan Hammer's show this afternoon and got lit up by callers. This bill has no chance.

Awesome story! Tom Fenton found, signed by Coyotes

Oh man, don't get my hopes up! Can you elaborate on this?
